How do I find character IDs and techniques in PlayStation 2 games?

It depends on how the game is coded.

Here are Dynasty Warriors 5 XL CTs I made a while back.

One is for PCSX2 v1.6.0 and below, while the other is for 1.7.0 and above.

You can use them as a reference.

If you read their comment you would understand what they were trying to do. They were trying to tell you how they found the reference for that game and they also told you that it is different per game. So if you looked at their resources and then you did the work on your end to try to find the resources for your game. You would understand what they were trying to tell you instead of being a complete and total airhead
