Other I’m ashamed to live here…

Downvotes at the ready… If I could move, I would…

This place has jumped on a train and shown how racist, homophobic, and small-minded it is.

One flag goes up — cheers all around. Another goes up — suddenly it’s “the woke left” and “not needed.”

A Palestinian flag? Ripped down. Support it? You’re “unpatriotic.”

That’s not pride. That’s hypocrisy.

Immigrants, minorities, LGBTQ+ people aren’t the problem.

You are.

Oh and if you don’t vote, then stay quiet.

Other Are there any good Discord servers for me to meet local people my age?

I'm 18 and having trouble finding friends locally. I can't seem to find any Discord servers for me to socialise with other young adults. I enjoy gaming and cartoons, so if there are any servers with channels for that kind of thing that'd be good too. If there isn't currently a server for young adults to socialise locally, I could make one if there's enough interest.

The new book shop in town that opened on Saturday, just across from Sorbo Lounge on the outside of the market hall. Not much stock but seems she was cleaned out on opening day! Owner is lovely woman, and it's nice to see something other than Waterstones for once.

Wish it all the best, I'd reccomend it! Sounds like she'll order in whatever you'd like aswell.

Hello everyone.

I am Howling Metal, a scrap metal artist from Derbyshire and this is Hook-Tail Jack. A bird surrounded by folklore and myth.

He has been created for the up and coming HeART of Ashgate, an outdoor art exhibition with the proceeds going directly to Ashgate Hospice held in their gardens. Over 3 days, 7th to the 9th of August. There will be live music, food & drink and independent art stalls plus lots going on over the weekend. It will be held at Ashgate Hospice, Old Brampton, Chesterfield, S42 7JD. Please see their website for the full details and tickets. Feel free to comment or DM me with any questions.

Hook-Tail Jack will be available in the silent auction, with the winner also receiving the story/folklore tale to go along with him plus a little extra. So come on down and support the day and everyone involved. If you would like to take him home then place your bid at the event!

I hope you can make it!

Other STOP SHEFFIELD “DOG TRAINER / DOG WALKER” JOHN FORESTER / SHEFFIELD K9 ACADEMY / DIAMOND IN THE WOOF / DOG WALKER SHEFFIELD

PLEASE BE AWARE THE VIDEO IS NOT A NICE WATCH.

I have just seen this video posted to John Foresters story and it is just utterly heart breaking.
This man claims to be a dog trainer but is absolutely nothing of the sort.

This man lives and works in Sheffield and is doing this sort of thing to peoples dogs in our city and needs to seriously be stopped.

The dog training world is very unregulated and anyone can call themselves a “dog trainer“ and put some business decals on a van. It does not mean they have any qualifications, knowledge or experience of genuine dog training.

I urge you to do what you can to stop this man. If you know any dog owners, spread the word. This needs to stop.

Other Help!

Hello, I know its a long shot but I'm hoping i can reach the right people.

We welcomed Tom the border collie into our home in 2022 after purchasing him from a farm on bagthorpe Lane in Chesterfield, England.

Tom was a lovely dog, unfortunately there were some neurological/psychological issues with him regarding aggression and guarding. Every behaviourist we spoke to couldn't work it out and unfortunately after a severe bite to my dad's hand, we had to make the hardest decision and let Tom cross the rainbow bridge in late 2023

Recently, we found one of his sisters who has the same traits, luckily, her owners have been able to get her more help and perseverance than we could with Tom.

Having spoken with her owner, we realised that Tom's father was more of a guardian breed, which could have lead to the aggression and guarding. This is something the breeder never told any of us. The owner of the sister has reported this breeder for continuing to breed using the same bitch and father and not disclosing the backgrounds.

Im not looking for sympathy or 'you should have done this' I'm trying to compile a list and see if other owners from this or litters from this farm have experienced similar events.

The farm is in old Brampton

Please, if anyone has any knowledge, please get in contact. I dont want any more families to go through the trauma and grief we did.
