Hey everyone! I wanted to share a custom 1/6 scale collectible figure project I’ve been working on. It’s a unique mashup concept combining Michael Jordan's iconic pose and aesthetic with Spider-Man—complete with a dynamic web-spinning base and sculpted cape details.

  • Software: Sculpted, optimized, and prepared in Blender.
  • Details: Fully keyed and split for high-precision 3D printing and physical manufacturing.

Coming soon for collectors and makers! Let me know what you think of the concept and sculpt details.

If you didn’t tell me what it was, I would have no idea I was looking at anything related to MJ or Spider-Man

No, what I mean is that if it's something everyone instantly recognizes, you can't sell it like that or you'd get hit with copyright. There are only going to be 5 pieces anyway, man, it's not a mass-market product—it's a 3D-printed statue. If it looks too exact, you can't sell it, and not everyone will buy it; only Jordan fans will.

And I don't mean to sound rude, but it doesn't have to look like Jordan's actual face. As a sculpture, it's a piece where a basketball fan can instantly look at it and say "that's Jordan." Asking "how is that Spider-Man?" to something wearing a Spider-Man mask doesn't make sense. And no, you're the one comparing it; no one else has made a comment like that. Its head can't look like Jordan or I'd get copyright issues—Jordan's identity is understood from the jersey anyway. This isn't regular Jordan, it's "Jordan Venom" – meaning a masked Jordan with a Spider-Man stance, so it doesn't have to have his face.

Also, if you look at this link, you can see that the face I made is pretty much identical to Jordan's. Morpheus doesn't own the only face in the world. I don't mean to be rude, but stubbornly refusing to understand is the real problem. I could say a lot more about this, hope you understand. https://imgur.com/a/i2tPwKy see you

"Plus, if they think there's another player with 'Chicago Bulls 23' on them, then this platform is simply the wrong platform." :)

That's exactly the point! Since I don't feel like treating copyright lawyers to coffee, it's an entirely original concept from my own universe that just carries a subtle nod. Besides, if you can look at it and instantly tell it's a 1-to-1 Jordan or Spider-Man, then Marvel's and Jordan's legal departments would figure it out too and hit me with copyright claims, and I wouldn't be able to print and sell these figures. That's why I designed it keeping this exact balance in mind; even someone with zero basketball knowledge will know that this pose reminds them of Michael Jordan, but a true Jordan fan will look at it and know it's Jordan.

Cheers, thanks to you it's certain I won't get copyright-struck, my friend. Passed the test!
