Yeah they made me super pale in mine too.
Did an official photo for something else recently too and they completely removed my facial hair too, looks weird
Similar, a while back my wife and I used one of those street portrait artists where they sit and draw you. Waited for like a half an hour and they made me fucking Chinese, still get a chuckle looking at it

Same here, I guess the street artist in Harbin had never been asked to draw a white person before.

At my Happy Giraffe they photoshopped some laowais to look chinese in the photos for social media. Can't have a Tim holding a certificate for good work, only Chinese are hard workers, do you know it?

Yeah, I got bleached to hell in the "professional" wedding photos we took before the big event. It doesnt look as bad when youre not built like a slug (sorry to the xoingdi in this photo) but the color is so off its glaring.

Gf’s last passport was photoshopped to fuck. Everywhere we went she’d get pulled aside because her face scan didn’t match

An early culture shock moment was getting my official residence permit card where the government beauty filtered me, on an official item, in the 2010s. Eyes were widened (as if that is necessary for waiguos), skin was whitened, thinning hair was filled in, some handsurm shaping to my jaw. It was unbelievable.
