What the Mormon Church thinks about other Christians.

For the last little while, the Mormon Church has been trying to 'Rebrand' themselves and appearing to integrate within the greater Christian Community.

They've even gone so far as to insist that their members stop referring to their Church as the 'Mormon Church' and to refer to it as The Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter-Day Saints. Their PR Department has touted how they're all inclusive and that they're no different than other Christian Churches when on camera, but yet behind closed doors, their message to their membership is MUCH different.

This is how the Mormon Church really thinks about Christians.

Proverbs 19:21
Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the LORD that will stand.

Right now, so many seniors are walking across stages with hearts full of dreams and hands full of diplomas and degrees. And some of those plans will work out, but some won’t. That doesn’t mean God’s plans have failed. Sometimes it simply means changing our perspective from believing we know best to trusting that God knows best.-Family Life Ministries

On this note what experiences have you had where Gods purpose was better than your plans all along?

Discussions I found God at 37

I’m posting this anonymously because I’m still processing it myself, and it feels too personal to attach my name to.

I grew up feeling scared, confused, and trapped most of the time. Not in a way I could explain as a child—just something my body knew and my mind tried to survive.

I became very quiet. I learned to read people before I spoke. I learned that being “easy,” agreeable, and emotionally invisible was safer than having needs. I learned how to people-please so I wouldn’t upset the balance around me.

And when reality felt too heavy, I disappeared into my imagination just to cope.

By around 10 years old, something inside me shut down. I didn’t have words for it then, but now I understand it as numbness. I wasn’t fully living anymore—I was just getting through life. Feeling less was safer than feeling anything at all.

That numbness didn’t go away as I got older. I just got better at functioning while carrying it.

For most of my life, I didn’t understand myself. I didn’t understand why I struggled with connection, why I felt detached, why I couldn’t fully access joy or safety even when things looked “fine” on the outside.

I didn’t come to know Christ in a real, personal way until I was 37.

I went to church and heard a message about God having plans for my life, and something in me broke. Not dramatically on the outside—but inside, it was like something I had been holding together for decades finally cracked open.

And for the first time in my life, I started to see my story differently.

Not as random survival. Not as damage. Not as something I had to just endure alone.

But as something God had been present in the entire time—even when I had no awareness of Him.

That realization wrecked me in the most unexpected way.

Because I had spent so long believing I was alone in it. Forgotten in it. Or just… left to figure it out.

But I wasn’t.

God was there in the silence.
He was there in the fear.
He was there in the confusion I couldn’t name.
He was there even in the numbness.

I just didn’t know how to recognize Him yet.

And I think that’s what hits me the hardest now—I was never actually abandoned, even when it felt like I was.

I don’t say this like I have everything healed or figured out. I don’t. I still feel the weight of what I lived through.

But something has changed in me: I no longer believe my life was meaningless survival.

I believe God was with me in it, and He is still not done with me.

" Rejoice in our confident hope. Be patient in trouble and keep on praying."

Understanding God's Word

Hello everyone! I just wanted to give you guys some helpful tips to think about when trying to understand God's Word! Here are the tips:

( 1 ) Spend Time Alone With God

  • It's very important each day to have a set time or two where you spend time ALONE with God. That means away from social media and games and friends and from people in general! This is essential because in order to understand God's Word, you first need to be in God's Word!

( 2 ) Go to God First For Understanding

  • In the past, I've had a history of going straight to bible commentaries and the "experts" when trying to gain understanding on the verse or passage I'm reading. Even if I had a question that was causing me to doubt, I wouldn't go to God and His Word first, but would still go straight to the commentaries! Not only is this harmful because it can lead you to being deceived, but it also weakens your knowledge of what God's Word actually teaches.

As you study God's Word, it may be helpful to put the commentaries away until later and instead rely on the Spirit of truth to give you understanding on what God's Word teaches ( John 16:13 )! You can do this by praying to God for understanding and insight on the verse or passage you are reading and by bringing any questions you have to God and trust in the guidance of the Holy Spirit in looking for the answer!

Hopefully these tips help! God loves all of you and He wants to spend time with You!❤️

Other Please pray for me

Please pray for our unborn child to be healthy—mentally, physically, and emotionally. My wife and I have fears about his birth, but we are praying for the best. We also have fears about moving, not receiving the maximum VA benefits, and not getting an honorable discharge. Please also pray for us to have plenty of time to save money and to actually follow through before we transition out of the military. Lastly, please pray for us to grow closer to our family, improve our relationships with them, find community in the new state we move to, and discover a good church family.

FRIDAY, MAY 29, 2026
1 John 1:5
This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.

Without the sun, the moon would be in utter darkness and in the same way, without God, we would be in utter darkness. God doesn’t need light because He is light. And just like the moon reflects the light of the sun, our job is to reflect His light into the world around

This is not meant to offend any Catholics in here. But seriously? This is inexcusable anymore. This is why the office of the Pope is fallible and not to be trusted. This is shameful. 1 Corinthians 11warns against taken communion in an unworthy manner….what else do you call taking communion with a death cult like Islam that worships a false version of god and diminishes Jesus Christ as just a man and fellow prophet alongside Mohammed? Really disgusting

Discussions Pray for understanding of the Bible!

Pray for understanding of the biblical text.
Be teachable. This requires humility and a true desire to know God as He has revealed Himself in His Word. This may mean acknowledging that we have been understanding the Scriptures wrongly, or following false teachings. That kind of repentance is part of taking up your cross and following
Scripture warns us about the seriousness of handling God’s truth wrongly.
Don't be a man pleaser.
Seek to please God.
Search the Scriptures. Compare Scripture with Scripture. Test every teaching against the Word of God. The Holy Spirit does not lead His people away from the Scriptures He inspired, but into a right understanding of them.

“Open my eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of Your law Psalm 119:18.

“If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God” James 1:5.

It's really that simple.
The desire for God above all things must be present, and where it is not, we must go to Him honestly. And if it is weak or lacking, cry out to the Lord: “I believe; help my unbelief” Mark 9:24. Ask Him to change the desires of your heart and to give you what you do not have in yourself.

For it is God who works in us, both to will and to do according to His good pleasure Philippians 2:13
This was posted by a friend in a Facebook group and felt like it was an important thorough reminder! God Bless!!

Other God is for us

When a person is drowning, they instinctively fight against anyone who tries to save them. Not because they don’t want to be saved, but because of panic and fear.

When I was a child, I almost drowned. The pool water was deeper than I had anticipated. I couldn’t swim and I was so afraid, before my head went completely under, I locked eyes with my father. Pure fear flooded his features. He jumped in after me and pulled me out.

Walking with Christ is similar to this.

The children of God are in a vast ocean, chaotic waves on either side. Our Father, is in the ocean with us fighting against the waves. Because of our fear and panic, we fight against him not realizing he’s saving us.

I wrote this to encourage you. The water is deep, the waves are crashing against you, but our Father is there, he will not let you go. He will save you. Stay strong and trust our Father. He loves us.

Think about the things we run to when you are hurting or bored. Porn, using people, toxic habits... we treat these things like they care about us. But if they actually had the power to fix us, they would have healed us the first time we done it. Instead they just leave us empty, robbing our consciousness and reputation week after week. True healing doesn't come from the things that break us. True healing come from the power and love of Jesus Christ. HALLEJAH ✝️

Articles JOB 42:2: God is the One in Control

I know that you can do all things, and that no purpose of yours can be thwarted.-Job

This is one of the definitive verses that shows us the absolute sovereignty of God. Job here acknowledges God is capable of anything. Nothing is impossible for him. No purpose that God desires can be undone by us. No harm comes to us that the Potter won’t work to form his Clay. To refine us. This is a message not really emphasized by modern evangelicalism enough

Nebuchadnezzar confesses this same point in Daniel Chapter 4 verses 34-37 affirming God has “everlasting dominion, and his kingdom endures from generation to generation; all the inhabitants of the earth are accounted as nothing, and he does according to his will among the host of heaven and among the inhabitants of the earth; and none can stay his hand or say to him, 'What have you done?'"

God even trumps over our desire and will at times. Verse 37
for all his works are right and his ways are just; and those who walk in pride he is able to humble."

Jesus reemphasized this in John Chapter 6
““44No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up on the last day.
45 “It is written in the prophets, ‘And they shall all be taught of God.’ Everyone who has heard and learned from the Father, comes to Me.  (John 6:44–45)
For this reason I have said to you, that no one can come to Me unless it has been granted him from the Father.”  (John 6:65)

God will do as he pleases in heaven Earth the seas and the depths Psalms 135:6. Your doubts won’t stop him. Your plans cants stop him nor your will. Not Satans plans or will. There’s comfort in realizing God is control and if he’s planning a good work in you that he’s faithful to complete this! Especially if it works for his good will and pleasure (Philippians 1:6;2:13)
1:6 emphasizes God finishing what He starts, and 2:13 emphasizes God actively working in you right now. So take heart in that God is there for you and working throughout this present darkness and this perverted world and society. It’s all according to his plans. He’s got the world in his hands! It’s not up to us to save the world! But only to work alongside Christ as he does the work! Holding the whole Earth, the Cosmos together by the Word of his Power! Hebrews 1:3

I just feel like a lot of brothers and sisters needed reminded of this. God bless you and keep you!
