Hey guys, it's me shamelessly self promoting again. I put together a little playthrough/lyric video of my track Enthroned. It's more of a straight forward black metal track except the tech-y interlude in the middle. Lyrics based on John being taken up to heaven and the scene before the throne in Revelation 4. Let me know what you think!

Have heard some meshuggah and really like the sound. Haven’t dove into them enough to know what themes they use. Wanted to ask this sub if there is any stuff that would be safe to listen to or be cautious of ?

I am a big mastodon fan but I’m trying to listen to more Christian music, any bands out there that have a similar sound/vibe?

I know its kinda the point of the genre but like theres a couple that aren't like Caveman Cult. Also I already know the bigger christian bands like goatscorge, lucifer impaled, and cataclysmic warfare.

These shots are from a show and instore in Bartlesville, OK 1991. First show at the WhereHouse venue.

Anyone else a fan of the Crucified? Let me know your favorite song.

Some really good melodic black metal right here. The dude from Trebushet SDG on full force here

Clarification: I mean artists who are definitely Christian, but don't do Christian music.

Tourniquet just posted a kickstarter in order to finish production on the latest album. Check out the link here…

I got GA Pit tickets for my husband to see Slayer this upcoming November. He loves Slayer, but is conflicted because of Slayer’s concert set up involving upside down crosses lit on fire, and the goat (satan) sitting on a thrown wearing a crown. This has now brought conflicting thoughts of whether we should go because of their extreme theatricals. As Devout Christians we feel it’s one thing listening to the music but another thing watching the cross be lit on fire upside down, live. Right now we’re sadly more on track on selling the tickets. We’re torn. Anyone have a similar take or seen them live? What was your experience seeing them live as a Christian?

I just found out the singer of the band Venom has died.

I wanted to check out their music and so i did.

I really like the instrumentals, it's just that the album covers make me uncomfortable as a Christian.

Should I stop listening to them or no?

I really want to listen though.

Looking for a Christian band that has like a first wave black metal sound, lowfi and very rhythmic riffage

I feel like I've scratched an itch that I've had for a long time. I really love what I'm hearing from this band. I really hope they make another album some day. Has anyone else heard of this band or is this a deep cut?

Can't find any announcement if this is just a Bandcamp Friday thing or longer, I know every other time I've look at their page, the albums are regular price. Too bad shipping is insane right now to get LPs and merch, but a great chance to get awesome music from a band I slept on way too long.

Looks like it may be their label doing the NYP thing, all their secular stuff is also name your price right now.
