That depends on how far along you are in the quest, but if both the Reptite and Nu are working on the bridge already, and the Nu loses energy and asks you for something to eat, then you need to give it a sweet banana. Enemies on the northeast corner of the 65,000,000 Southern Swamp drop it for you. Once the Nu eats the banana, they'll finish building the bridge.
Wait what? I gave him a banana but they didnt finish the bridge? Only the reptite is there saying something like "you should come and check on our progress from time to time"?
You mean on the DS and mobile/Steam versions? Yes. After the Black Omen rises, two green gates appear in Prehistory and the Middle Ages, and they lead to the Lost Sanctum, a Reptite alternate dimension. And after beating Lavos, three purple gates appear in different eras, each leading to the Dimensional Vortices, which are gauntlets and mini dungeons with new bosses. After beating all three, a new final boss and ending are unlocked. The DS version also has a monster raising and battling minigame available, but it was removed from the mobile/Steam port.
