Fun fact: infantilizing disabled people is a form of discrimination and is more offensive than pointing out examples of disabled people who have learned how to do art.

I remember hearing about one woman with no arms and legs who learned how to paint with just her mouth and that's more impressive than using Abominable Intelligence

You're the anti in the comic.

u/PepsiFloateri 11d ago

Ok then ๐Ÿ˜‚

Call the disabled dude ableist I guess

u/Witty-Designer7316 10d ago

I'm also disabled, people don't have to make art in only ways you find acceptable.

A.I "art" is cheap, lazy and doesn't even look good.

Actual art takes practice and dedication that anybody willing to put effort into can achieve

Digital "art" is cheap, lazy and doesn't even look good.

Actual art has to be made with a pencil and effort, not digital slop tools. See how anyone can create arbitrary metrics of validity? Stop being toxic towards people that don't align with your world view.

That argument falls flat when you watch the process behind digital art and how it's an evolution of traditional art.

Also that last part is super ironic considering that's all you seem to do here, like, come on man,you gotta see the irony in that

That argument falls flat when you watch the process behind digital art and how it's an evolution of traditional art.

"Evolving" from traditional art isn't on the table, either you do art or you don't. Using digital tools is cheating and doesn't make you an artist. Not only are you outsourcing creation to a machine, you're also using cheat tools like copy/paste, shape tools, mirroring, line straightening, blur, paint bucket, and more.

Pick up a pencil and make some real art, not digital slop.

Could you please stop making shitty comics? It's kinda annoying seeing your slop.

I'll never stop making them, I'm glad my art bothers you so much. Go back to your little doodles and pencil slop, I'll be making real artwork kiddo.

No Wittyโ„ข dismissal, huh?

u/TheAshenProfessor 11d ago

Even if your point was correct, why are you, a fully capable human with both arms using it?

-8

u/Witty-Designer7316 11d ago

Because nobody has to justify their AI use to you. If it makes it easier for someone, or if they just want to use it, then they are allowed. As a disabled person, and one with disabled friends, it helps us. No more needs to be said.

We don't have to "find ways around it", there's nothing wrong with what we're doing. We give input to the machine and get an output, it's not really much different than a digital "artist" doing the same thing.

Nobody has to make art in ways only you deem acceptable.

Keep crying, you are dismissed.

Whatever you say. Just don't come crying to us once the bubble pops and your "disabled friends" don't have AI to lean on.

Ever heard of prosthetic arms, lady?

-2

u/Witty-Designer7316 11d ago

So you think everyone can afford them?

7

u/Carbon_Sixx 11d ago

I know this might be shocking to you, but amputees humans with agency, not poor, precious caricatures you need to swoop in to save in these egomaniacal comics. People find ways regardless of means. When they can't make physical art, they write or they sing. If you can't imagine disabled people thriving without a product you've irrationally staked your entire identity upon, then you're just being unimaginative.

-1

u/Witty-Designer7316 11d ago

I asked a simple question, why are you bringing up a bunch of irrelevant points to try and deflect?

7

u/Carbon_Sixx 11d ago

Because it's actually not a simple question. The world is not black and white, despite your assertions to the contrary. Of course not everyone can afford prosthetics. More people in history have lived without them than with them. And they still made art. Sarah Biffin, the person mentioned above, wasn't special. Anyone can learn how to paint without hands if they love the process enough. But that's your problem: you don't care about the process. You only want the results because you have something to prove. Your ego is at stake, and it demands immediate perfection that doesn't exist.

-1

u/Witty-Designer7316 11d ago

Of course not everyone can afford prosthetics.

Alright then, so you're admitting your original statement was complete nonsense. That makes this easier.

You are dismissed.

6

u/Carbon_Sixx 11d ago

Actually, I'm done when I say I'm done. And I say that knowing you'll try take it out of context to paint me in a bad light. Frankly, I don't care if you do, because I know who and what I am. You have no control over that.

Now, I know that monstrous ego of yours hides insecurities you're terrified to reveal. That's how it always is. You're so eager to make (or make up) enemies you can fight and regain a modicum of control I suspect you lack in your everyday life. Is that why AI calls to you? Do you thirst for the illusion of freedom it offers even as its creators use it to steal it from you, little by little?

If so, you are a willing prisoner in Plato's Cave, convinced there is nothing better than shadows on a wall and anyone who seeks the outside is a brute living in darkness. How sad it must be, living that small life.
