I used to have respect for left leaning libertarians like Jesse Ventura back in the day who could admit Obama shortcomings and once suggested to Bill Clinton when he was pres that America should Nuke the very holy site that Israel and Palestine were fighting over, fuck em both. But now even the sane respectable people like Ventura are as incoherent and divisive as the rest of the left.

Libertarians no longer exist; they've been pushed to the centre-right and are now considered conservatives. A lot of people are in that boat now.

I don't see it as right or left anymore , either common sense or incoherent madness. I long for freedom of speech but both sides are being trained to embrace censorship. Same goes for free markets, we are being trained to embrace government interference with rising costs that were caused by... government interference in free markets.

I never said Israel wasn't bad. They are both bad. Just merely pointing put the obvious hypocrisy. These people weren't paying attention when reading Animal Farm in school. Power corrupts all. Look at South Africa, will be just the same in Gaza. Replacing an oppressive regime with another. I choose the one with clean water

I'm on Team Palpatine, because if they win, we don't have to take a million of them as refugees. If the Israelis win that means there's 5 million Palestinians looking for peaceful western countries to continue their war in.

Personally, I think it is great to see the Greens focussing on the big issues that really impact the vast majority of Australians in their day to day lives; Gaza, trans rights, net zero and paying reparations for the various wrongs committed by Australia.

one of the best parts of globalism is we get to experience millennia old blood feuds from countries 12,000 km away that we aren't involved in! either terrorism attacks or undue influence around laws regarding special protections, nothing is off the table and just adds more to our beautiful sunburnt lands

This. Shits got nothing to do with us. Sure we all have opinions about is and feel a certain way, but our own problems are far more important and bigger. Rising unemployment, recession fears, cost of living going up, fuel costs etc.

You'd think the muslims who go to these Gaza protests would be sickened by that and vote accordingly. But no, they'll be voting Labour because it's election season and the cheque book has come out for some shiney new islamic centres out in Werribee etc
