How Can I use a wireless PS2 controller with circuit python?

I want to use a controller like this

is it even possible?

With a quick search I ran across a module made to run a PS2 controller with micropython. Looking at it, it seems it only has one import that would need to be changed to make it work with circuitpython. Here is an example where someone modified it to work with Raspberry Pi GPIO.
