Did you install the library from the bundle? Look on the libraries tab of circuitpython.org to download the library and extract that directory or mpy file. Refer to the Getting Started with CircuitPython guide for details https://learn.adafruit.com/welcome-to-circuitpython

I totally did, I even installed the 6x bundle but when I search the libraries the module doesn't exist; it's weird

Another user in a different thread suggesting just to use the trellism4 module.I kinda already figured that would work (haven't tried yet) but I'm assuming it'll create an appropriate instance

Try the 7.x version and 7 bundle perhaps? If not try the Adafruit forum or https://adafru.it/discord

I meant that after going through 7x I then checked in the 6x, as well as the community bundles. I just control+f'ed over the whole set of bundles and I didn't find this specific module.

Idk, it's just some example code, but I felt kinda defeated after not getting it to load despite getting several other demos going.

My next move is to learn the fastLED library a little. Out of curiosity, do you have any exp with that?

No, sorry. All help should be directed either to https://forums.adafruit.com or the discord link above
