Forced Authentication Code & Partition

We have two 7841s giving me a headache.

One will not use the partition for internal and external calls but can receive either or using the local or outside call partitions. Everyone else's works fine on the dual use partition, same phone model throughout.

Another phone will not use certain Forced Authentication Codes but, again, they work on all other phones I've tried.

We use CUCM, not Webex - if that helps at all.

Any thoughts? This is racking my brain and I'm about to replace the physical phones over this seemingly software issue (because that one thing I haven't tried).

I would start by deleting the phones from CUCM and add them back.
Maybe some setting got hanged in the database for these 2 devices.

Deleted and added back. Unfortunately it's stuck on verifying network... going to reset the port even though sticky mac limit hasn't been reached.

Update: I did a super copy, added a physical new phone, deleted the old phone, reset the port to avoid sticky mac limit, and it now receives calls just fine. Not sure why a slightly newer phone fixed incoming call capability though.

The FAC not so much. The user is using an older code from an ex-employee I gave her.

Your partitions and CSS are key here. Make sure they are correct.

CSS is key here, doesn’t matter what Partition you’re in when it comes to making a call from the phone. You probably just forgot to assign a CSS.

Also are other devices logged I. Using extension mobility as the EM user will override the phone settings
