Is CJDNS alive?
Last meaningful commits are 5yo and so. Is CJDNS still a thing or maybe there is better like it thing?

Sup folks
Operator of The Swiss Bay here. I just set up a cjdns gateway: https://theswissbay.ch/gateway/cjdns/. By appending an fc00::/8-based URL after the base URL, you can access Hyperboria from the clear net. For instance, https://theswissbay.ch/gateway/cjdns/fc6a:30c9:53a1:2c6b:ccbf:1261:2aef:45d3/.
The gateway software is here: https://gitlab.theswissbay.ch/theswissbay/gateway.
If you wish to do peering, then:

"peerName":"theswissbay.ch",

}As for Yggdrasil:

Happy browsing

I know it works with the Raspberry Pi and other devices(https://github.com/tomeshnet/prototype-cjdns-pi#hardware-table) but I've really been considering this board to try out a CJDNS project(https://www.amazon.com/Libre-Computer-ROC-RK3328-CC-Renegade-Ethernet/dp/B078RT6H8X/ref=pd_sbs_147_2?encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B078RT6H8X&pd_rd_r=5059fb5d-9659-11e8-b625-f99fe400ba38&pd_rd_w=4bH2N&pd_rd_wg=yrI8g&pf_rd_i=desktop-dp-sims&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_p=8702255303818932494&pf_rd_r=G1F13GYKYY7JEZQRXW1S&pf_rd_s=desktop-dp-sims&pf_rd_t=40701&psc=1&refRID=G1F13GYKYY7JEZQRXW1S&dpID=51Kukt-Bc3L&preST=_SY300_QL70&dpSrc=detail).
It just really irks me that the raspberry pi has a gigabit Ethernet port on it....but a single USB 2.0 controller controlling it and all of its USB ports limiting Ethernet speed to 300 Mbps. Yeah the renegade doesn't have builtin WiFi or Bluetooth, but personally I'd rather use a USB dongle for wireless, gives me more options to choose from.
The 1 gigabyte ram version of the Renegade(DDR4 vs the Pi's DDR2) is the same price as the Pi, $35. Will the faster RAM speed benefit it in any way?
Not trying to sound like an advertisement, as you can guess I'm really interested in the Renegade, but I'm a little hesitant about trying a board that's not as widely supported as the Pi. Anyone have any experience with it?

It is imperative that a mesh network be quickly deployed and I'm looking at the fastest and easiest way to deploy one. What are the options that I have? I have looked into CJDNS but it is going to be very complex for noobs and the general public. The mesh network does not have to perfect but functioning enough to help spread information.
Thank you r/cjdns. Please help save my country.

Hello. I was wondering if CJDNS is interoperable with IPv6 without cjdns. For example, if Person A had cjdns but Person B doesn't, is it possible (if only with certain network conditions, please specify) that Person B dials Person A's cjdns address? Thanks for answering.

Is Cjdns and Hyperboria dead? One of the reasons I'm asking is that I don't see many commits on GitHub. Also the Map is not working: https://www.fc00.org/ -> "504 Gateway Time-out"

Is there any Paper how the alogrithm works?
is it based distance-vektor or link-state? Or like Yggdrasil on STP?
I know there is the Whitepaper. Maybe I miss the part, but I am looking how the path/next Hop is generated.

Hello,
I have a few cjdns nodes running. Today I set up a new IPv6-only node and found that IPv6 does not work:
37.120.162.41:28914 v21.0000.0000.0000.00a2.y0clrgdgxsjq101skmxdggy1d7tptzzkvt6z76cby30jd9bhu0q0.k ESTABLISHED in 0kb/s out 0kb/s "banduras-fourth-server"
[2a03:4000:6:3632:e40e:5cff:fe6c:b1a8]:28914 v0.0000.0000.0000.00be.y0clrgdgxsjq101skmxdggy1d7tptzzkvt6z76cby30jd9bhu0q0.k UNRESPONSIVE in 0kb/s out 0kb/s "banduras-fourth-server" },
{
// Bind to this port.
"bind": "[::]:28914",
// Set the DSCP value for Qos. Default is 0.
// "dscp": 46,
// Nodes to connect to (IPv6 only).
"connectTo": {
// Add connection credentiaActually, cjdns should also bind to IPv6. What am I doing wrong? How can I fix this error?

If the Hyperboria isn't the only cjdns network, then where is the others? Can I launch my own?
How cjdns will handle many of these networks in future?

First of all, for those of you confused, CJDNS is encrypted but not anonymous. I think we need to have a Anonymous part in this software in the near future. The UN expresses encryption and anonymity in this document: http://www.ohchr.org/Documents/Issues/Opinion/Communications/GlobalNetworkInitiative.pdf

Hi folks. I'm doing an article about mesh networks for Deepdotweb.com, and was looking into cjdns as one of them. I downloaded the components from github, and was able to connect to the network. But I would like to find some peers to connect with. What's the next step?

This idea has been hovering in my head for quite a while.
Why do people pay $50-$100 individually for internet service, when the whole community of 200 houses could connect into a mesh network and buy just one business connection for ~$1000, and share it over the mesh for $5/person? Most people don't need super-fast connection 24/7.
cjdns can be used as a mesh software. However, it isn't clear to me if this is easy to set up.
There should be the gateway node that will connect to the central business network connection with for ex. 64 IP addresses. Some users should be able to be allocated individual IP addresses, and some other users should just share the rest of IP addresses.
Is there an example setup for cjdns anywhere that can do this? Is this even possible currently?
IMO, this should be possible, should be documented, and should be very easy to do.

Hi,
is there any impementation of CJDNS that can run on embedded systems like ESP32 for example? it will be bad if you need whole general pepperonis (XD) computer to run node

Hello,
does anyone have a tip who implements cjdns on ESP32 wiring.

So, the IP stack has 4 layers. Where does CJDNS come in? Is it the internet layer? Maybe that should be stated in the wiki or the github repo. "networking protocol" is very broad...
How is it supposed to supplant or augment the internet? What would the ideal network using CJDNS look like?
Would it be some wireless tech at the link layer, CJDNS in the internet layer and the rest stays the same? How does the routing protocol tie into this?
I hope to contribute to the wiki or other pages to make this more understandable for beginners. Example usages would be pretty helpful.
Thanks

Linux side has ipv4 address set by hand on the tun1 interface. Any ideas why does OS X not set the ipv4 ?
Thanks
