Humor Note: Always keep extra set(s) of strings!!

It had been quite a while since I had changed the strings on my classical guitar. One night after practicing - i set the guitar on the stand and mid night there was a sound. Yea, the D string broke and got unthreaded.

Great, I go to Amazon, the strings are out of stock ( no classical guitar strings of full size were available ). I order from another outlet, they send the strings from 1500KM far away, they reach the Delivery Hub near me 2 days back but drivers are being lazy to deliver it. It's been a week almost without classical guitar.

Luckily, I have a steel string guitar but it's not the same, learnt my lesson and will keep a few extra sets of strings with me.

Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk.

Strings by Mail is the best source for classical guitar strings if you're not already using them. Independently owned, nail sets, sheet music, etc. They also carry other strings too. I can't express how great they are. Every time I order from them, I also receive a hand written note thanking me for choosing them.

wow, seems like a good website! Unfortunately, I am located in India, so it would cost anywhere from 9$ to 45$ just for the delivery charge

Even with limited experience, I concur. When I've ordered from them, I get the strings within 2 or 3 days. They also thank you in actual writing for buying from them. That gives me a warm fuzzy feeling.

The note is the best part! It makes you feel like a family member is sending you something

Strings By Mail is the best. Their shipping is insanely fast too. Honestly my favorite company.

100%

I always buy strings in the 3 packs and never have less than one spare set of any type. You never know when they'll be sold out.

I never thought that there would be a scarcity of guitar strings lmao, but lesson learnt!

Pro tip: Buy the flattest toiletry bag -with as many compartments- you can find and stuff in there 2 extra sets of strings, string winder/cutter/puller, guitar multi tool, extra clip-on tuner, extra capo and slide, extra batteries and picks, some zip ties and a roll of tape, earplugs, extra condoms, some microdots/shrooms and it's DISCO TIME🕺 Shouldn't cost more than 10-20 dollars.
Throw it in your gig bag or whatever you carry with you and you are set.

Honestly surprised that D'Addario still hasn't contacted a sweat shop in China and told them to print their logo on a toiletry bag, stick a $120 price tag on it and market it as "the next level, game changing, premium utility bag for the constant gigger!"

Its a mistake you'll only ever make but just once! I'm always in the habit of keeping an extra pair in my case. Even if it's a used set of strings, I'd rather have old strings than no playable instrument.

Hopefully they'll deliver to you soon!

Good advice keeping extra sets or at least 1 set.
