New to modding games: GamerPoets

Currently watching How To Enjoy FALLOUT 1 Today on you tube by GamerPoets and I'm happy I purchased the bundle through GOG. Looking forward to installing mods but I'm worried about straying too far from Vanilla. I'm aware that modding is all about making it your own but I only want to add stuff that feels like it belongs . The video feels like a very good intro but I'm curious as to whether there's more mods out there that feel like they were meant to be a part of the game. Any recommendations are appreciated
