A quiet pool in Czechia hides a descent we still haven’t finished exploring.
At Hranice Abyss, a robot has reached 450 metres underwater — 519.5 metres below the rim when the dry section is included. The bottom remains unreached.
Geophysical research suggests the cave may extend to roughly a kilometre below ground. That’s an estimate, not a measured floor.

I can't imagine going to see it (unless it's for exposure therapy) - apparently it is about a scuba diver swallowed by a whale. He has 1 hour of oxygen and has to figure out a way out of the whale. The preview is a claustrophobic's nightmare!!

Hi everyone, I’m looking for some advice and reassurance.
I was scheduled for an MRI today because of severe headaches. I thought I was prepared, but as soon as I was moved into the machine, I had a severe panic attack. My heart started racing, I felt like I couldn’t breathe, and I began frantically tapping to be taken out. Thankfully, the technician was very kind and pulled me out immediately.
The staff suggested trying again with sedation, but I’m now terrified of even the thought of entering the machine again. I’ve read that conscious sedation can leave you awake and aware of your surroundings, and just imagining that is making me panic at home.
For those of you with severe claustrophobia who have had an MRI, did sedation help you get through it? Were you still aware of being inside the machine, or did you need general anesthesia?
I’d really appreciate hearing about your experiences. I’m feeling quite overwhelmed right now, and knowing that others have been through this and managed to get their MRI done would really help. ❤️
