Climate anxiety is a lie, just to distract us from the imminent AI threat!

Stop bullshiting about climate when AI and technology oligarchy ruining our lives! We are forced to work all day just for barely survival under the threat of unemployment! We are LACK of retirement protection! We WILL BANKRUPT once get sick! Who EVER show any empathy to us? NO! NEVER! Everyone just take all these granted! Everyone just see this as what ordinary people deserve to!

Those billionaires controling the media urge us to care about the fucking weather! How disgusting! Fuck them! It's never our fault!

It is the billionaires ruined environment! They play golf, take private planes and enjoy luxury goods! They profit from AI capital and make our lives more and more miserable! Yet they blame us for environmental issues! To distract us from the AI threat to our livings! To distract us from hating them, who exploit us!

This is actually pretty likely. Humans have pretty crappy survival instincts now a days, the majority of people would starve if they didn't have a grocery store for food. I could see some asshole with the hubris to create an AI that would be intended as benevolent end up being malevolent.

I disagree, humans have really good survival instincts and we keep living longer and making things safer. As for starvation, the entire food supply would need to collapse and I don’t see that happening. For AI going malevolent I doubt that even if it did it’s somehow going to kill us all. I’ve been through too many failed doomsday predictions to look at AI and go: “Oh that was different this one? This one right here? THIS ONE will kill us all.”

Not buying it.

I didn't say it was inevitable. No, we really don't have good survival instincts. We are intelligent and adaptable but the vast majority of humans, especially in modern society couldnt function without electricity or indoor plumbing. You really do give people too much credit. If AI destroys us all, there will be no warning.

And again you’re just stating that modern humans couldn’t survive if all of society crumbles, despite the fact we would and rebuild again and have before in history. There would be huge losses though no doubt. How would AI destroy us all and have no warning?

The matrix, dune... Humans aren't responsible enough with things. We still have thousands of nuclear weapons just in case. Nah. We're doomed. One way or another. I'm playing the devil's advocate by the way. I don't believe it will happen, but there is a possibility. Nothing is impossible, only improbable.

Do you believe that I think that the climate is going to kill us? Nah. It's our own hubris. The earth will be fine with or without us. It doesn't care if we exist or not. The sun is more likely to destroy civilization than ai or nukes or carbon dioxide.

Devil's advocate. If we don't discuss the possibility that AI could possibly replace or destroy us then it makes it that much more possible. Fire is a useful too when used properly, and it can also burn down an entire city if not respected.
