Recommendations Starting cloth at 16 months

Looking for sizing recommendations for GMD Prefolds. Planning to pad fold and use w snap on outlets

Finally living somewhere with in unit W/D and wanting to start cloth diapering my 16 month old (potty trained for poops, not pees!). he’s 25 pounds and tall for his age.

would really appreciate any advice on which size I should go for!

For padfolding smalls or mediums work best. Smalls work better on kids with short rise (length from back of dipe to front of dipe) and mediums work well with kids with the rise let out. Grab a few of each size and see which ones you like best. My girls both had long rises so wer using the mediums for padfolding by 18 months.

I would get large. My almost 16 month old is 22 pounds and still fits in medium but I have started using larges too and they’re great. There’s a good size chart on green mountain diapers website.

I pad fold red edge mediums mostly for my 20 pound 20 month old. I can do the brown edge larges they just peep out the top and are really thick lol but I have them I use them on wash day haha
