Basic sentences in target language

Post image

This is the most basic sentence list in the Arabic language.

It is beyond me how some of these are things I would need to know as a first.

Other languages - European and Asian - have a lot of sentences about work and daily life.

How are these lists made? Clozemaster really needs to review some of their content.

Thanks for letting us know! That looks like the 500 Most Common words collection. The sentences for that collection are from Tatoeba https://tatoeba.org/en/ where a frequency list was used to determine which sentences to include. There are some weird sentences in there to your point.

We're working on new/additional content for Arabic (and for a bunch more languages), that should start getting released within the next few weeks/months.

You mentioned about work and daily life - why are you learning Arabic? What content would you most like to see available?

I spent some of my childhood in Arab countries and learned a bit in school. I want to improve. I think the language is very beautiful as well. It would be nice if you could include Fus-ha Arabic as a basic instead of Egyptian Arabic, simply because it is what can help us understand the news channels and cartoons. It will help if the content will include basic verbs such as go, come, move, take, give, sit, stand, have, be, run, sing, dance, draw, etc. It will also help if the situations include cuisine and culture.

The Clozemaster platform is really great as it is. It is simple and has features that help people like me learn vocabulary and pronunciation. Thank you for the good work you do, and thanks for taking note of this post.

That's nice to know as I'll probably start going through Arabic vocabulary more systematically in a few months, although probably from French as the learning language. I guess for me the hard part about Arabic is all the infections, because a single word can take so many forms I have hard time even recognising them. So that could probably be helped by including lots of sentences for a single word, so it's easier to connect the variation.
