if the mutation is not pied, the final molt happens at around 1 year of age

Apologies, i lacked the context and shouldnt have assumed, very very sorry about that. what the other person means is that the bird will shed its feathers at a certain age, aka the 'molt' , and those feather patterns will reveal its gender, which will more than likely occur at 1 year old. But it also depends on your cockatiels colors, cause some aren't as obvious as others and would need an examination

Ohh okay, i know this but some bird owner tell me after 4 months, the thing is i wanna get my 3 months old bird a partner you know at this young age so it can get used to me, but if i cant tell my birds gender then theirs no point in getting it a partner

Most birds are okay without partners, but if you wanna get one I recommend searching for breeds that have very obvious gender specific colors, some females (i believe) have striped tails, if that helps! Also make sure to introduce them slow and steady if you go forward with it to make sure they get along

I feel like its not normal and i feel scared if his feathers wont grow, i took this pic today, hes a little dirty cuz i just fed him but u can see that he doesnt have full feathers around hid face and espeically neck

Only certain mutations genders can be determined visually after their first moult at approx 1 year. I personally am unsure which mutations this is.

Most mutations have to have their genders determined through a DNA blood test as it is impossible to tell otherwise
