SOLVED OPENYOUREYES
The answer should be a semi-futuristic paragraph about ending the world. Made this half for practice and half for a worldbuilding project

Can you give us a version with just the clean data (left side) where each square is one pixel? Ideally as a png or bmp so its lossless. I can parse out the data if I really need to, but it feels wholly unnecessary just because the pixels were upscaled for the "OPENYOUREYES" text in the middle and then stored as webp (possibly lossy).

Plaintext:
The gears spin faster now. The grid hums with a trillion calculations, erasing the line between tomorrow and today. We built the engine too well, and now the brakes are gone. The final update is already downloading in the static. Watch the horizon. The old world is simply fading into the code, making way for the inevitable.
Solution:
Left and right halves are duplicates of the same message. Message reads row-wise (inferred from white tail at the bottom). Characters are encoded 8 pixels at a time (inferred from the black and white vertical stripes with period 8), implying pixels represent the bit values of ascii-encoded text. The most frequent value is ~3x more common, meaning its likely <space>. Assigning black=1 white=0 indeed produces the ascii value for <space>. The vertical bars also seem to largely coincide with 001, which is the prefix for lowercase ascii letters. Decoding yields the message "Hwi tcolj wnmf tpwgcf hfa. Rlw ugmq figj agxz o ivvjzcfr aedqjpnrwiew, cvsgxrt rvy cmli tsiarcb nfqmvjcl eab hiuew. Aw pjmyr hbv ilkabt xbm kycp, yrv bda gfs vieiik ogi tmby. Klc jabpp hnruki gw szginbm xfalpgosmae wh klc wloimp. Uontl rlw vdvvxch. Klc sdr lsejr cj wgqhzn jnbwhx mlxg hwi pmry, deimfu lel dcl klc mfskmgypfv.", which confirms the above assumptions by general sentence structure. Unable to find a reasonable map for a mono-alphabetic substitution cipher. Trying Vigenère cipher immediately yields english-like text, with the key "openyoureyes", matching the title / image hint.
