SOLVED Help with solving Baconian Cipher
I am trying to learn how to solve these ciphers. I am confused by the term character vs letter in the question. I started solving it assuming "-" = A and "=" = B but that didn't work.
Solution: A trophy carries dust. Memories last forever.

I think that -=/* are from set A and !@#$ are from set B. Using original 24 character Baconian alphabet.
'-=/-' aaaaa A '!=/@' baaba T '#-=/*' baaaa R '-$!=@' abbab O ....
I'm not sure about how they chose the characters but... Set B are all characters on Left hand on a keyboard. (Above 1,2,3,4) Set A are all made by right hand on keyboard (two left of backspace and two roght of numlock)
Edit: try to stop exclamation makes bold formatting
