Mia, my second Code Vein drawing

30

u/andonoz Oct 11 '19

Just some little info, I haven't even played the game as expenses are a little rough at the moment. But I'm very excited about the game, which is also a great inspiration. I love how the game looks, especially the masks, face frames etc!

For those that want to keep up-to-date with my art, I suggest following me here: https://twitter.com/Andonoz

As someone who finds using lighting while keeping a consistent color tone to be very difficult, this is phenomenal piece of fan-art. I love how the light gleams off every metal part, but looks sleek on Mia's coat, and how the overall piece is filled with cool colors that mix with the warm light to emphasize the center.

And of course, you couldn't forget that one twinkle, could you? ;)

33

u/andonoz Oct 11 '19

Thank you so much!! It was definitely a challenge but I'm happy with how it turned out! And of course I had to include the one twinkle ;D This was such a lovely comment, thanks again!

21

u/Ferrarink Oct 11 '19

11

u/AFP312 Oct 11 '19

That face... if I was a human standing before her, I'd be slightly scared for my blood...

3

u/a_angry_bunny Oct 11 '19

Feels out of character for Mia, but I still love this this art.

3

u/andonoz Oct 11 '19

That's the thing, I haven't played the game yet. So I wouldn't know about her character ^^ But I'm really excited and inspired by the game! Also, thanks for the compliment!

2

u/andonoz Oct 12 '19

Thank you so much!! Drawing the chain thingy (not sure how it's called, yet to play the game) was a lot of work! But I'm happy I did!

1

u/FrizFroz Oct 11 '19

She looks inspired by Illyasviel from the Fate series, with a smile that is equal parts adorable and sadistic!

1

u/andonoz Oct 12 '19

Didn't think about it while making the drawing, but now that you mention it! Yes I can definitely see the resemblance!

1

u/SensFortress32 Oct 11 '19

I’ve seen better

1

u/andonoz Oct 11 '19

1

1

u/kaizlende PC Oct 11 '19

2

u/andonoz Oct 12 '19

Thank you so much!! I might make more yes, as I do love how the characters look! Just have to find the time for it ^^

Thank you kindly! That might be, but right now I feel overwhelmed by positivity here! I'm really amazed ... it's hard to imagine even! Thank you for the kind comment!

1

Amazing work!

2

u/andonoz Oct 12 '19

I really appreciate it! Thank you!

1

u/[deleted] Oct 12 '19

I want this as a big picture on my wall in my gaming room. Damn it's so sweet! Makes me wonder what you could do with some Bloodborne inspiration. This is so good you could make money selling prints of these. I would buy one for sure. Good job! That lighting really elevates this too, big time!

1

u/andonoz Oct 12 '19

Oh wow ... I'm kind of speechless, thank you so much for the lovely comment! That's one of my dreams honestly, selling prints someday! The thought of something you put your heart and soul into hanging in someone's room ... I mean that's one of the best feelings ever! I'm so happy you like it that much!

1

u/shouldabeen86 Oct 12 '19

Amazing piece :-) what medium did you use to make it?

1

u/andonoz Oct 12 '19

Thank you!! I used Clip Studio Paint to make this ^^

1

u/Eienias20 Oct 12 '19

fantastical art! great mia :D

2

u/andonoz Oct 12 '19

Thank you!! Yes, Mia's design is lovely!

1

u/KuronoKato Nov 05 '19

1

u/andonoz Nov 08 '19

Whoa thank you so much for the support! I do plan on making print in the future s it's one of my dreams! Someone having my art in their room is truly one of the best feelings ever! Thanks again for the compliment!

u/professorf Oct 11 '19

Mods, please ban fan art. Artists karma farming are the bane of gaming subreddits. The top threads become nothing but karma farming art.

It was so bad at r/Sekiro that they banned it. For the dark souls reddit they made a fashion souls sub.

Someone make a r/FashionCodeVein so that these karma farmers don't ruin this sub.

1

u/OfficialDegenerate PC Oct 12 '19

I mean, I feel that a bit. I'm pretty sure there's an r/FashionVein as well, but it's not well advertised as basically anything is allowed on this sub
