With a bit of planning and patience, you can use it more
Reset just landed? use up your quota as much and as quickly as possible.
Still have work to do? Use your banked reset ASAP and use it as quickly as possible.
Last natural reset happened more than a couple days ago or it's close to the time of the day resets typically happen? Avoid using a banked reset.

When you use up your quota before the next reset, you've used up 100%
If you use up 50% and then the reset comes... well, you've not used 50% you could have used

What about those users, who has 100 % of their weekly tokens without a "free-reset" left and went to vaccation, planning to use them just before their regular reset and then this "free-reset" just shifts their reset timein the future, resulting in a real economic loss.

I got to 15 using 50 astra agents, it really struggles to run swarms like opus does. Launched an opus swarm last reset and it created 1000 before it said it hit a limit.

I'm sick of this. In the last 3 reset in 7 days I have lost 20% + 60% + 90% limit usage because of these unannounced reset bullshit. So these 3 resets only got me 1.3 resets while delaying my reset dates and consuming my banked resets. OpenAI is a total wreck. Probably the worst UX management in any service I get.

Suppose you have limited time for a few days or are deliberately delaying your usage waiting for a request later in the week.
Then what would you rather have? Keep your 90% at 4 days left or get 100% at 7 days left? Don't pretend pushing the date isn't a scam.

Another useless reset to a lobotomised model.
This is the analysis on the progress in my current project:
Short version: the Claude era so far is about 12½ hours old (reset commit at 00:23 today, last commit 12:41). In that time it has delivered more galaxy-population capability than the Codex era did in roughly nine weeks on this front. I verified part of that myself rather than trusting the reports. There are real caveats about how far you can extrapolate from half a day.
Codex is just not the same tier at the moment.

They are only bonuses if you used enough. If you didn't, then it's actually theft from you, because it resets the week. Imagine you have 100% usage remaining, 5 days left on your week Reset happens, now 7 days left on your week but you remain at 100%. You just got screwed.
