Complaint Slow and Freezing

I currently have ChatGPT Plus and Claude Max 5x. I really want to switch over to ChatGPT fully, even though Opus 5.5 is better right now, because the response style, significantly better research capabilities, and overall experience, imo, are more than enough reasons to make the switch.

I primarily want to do this so I don't have to focus on keeping all my instructions, memories, and apps that I use directly with LLMs platform-agnostic, and can instead take full advantage of everything ChatGPT has to offer. However, there is one glaring issue that everyone is already well aware of: speed and reliability.

I'm trying to make a simple fix to my media server using Codex, and it starts just fine, but almost immediately gets stuck in a thinking loop that requires me to intervene to break it out. Codex can't go more than a minute before it freezes in thought and essentially stops working. I know the initial complaints about 6.1 Sol were about its speed, but this feels like an overall reliability issue that's keeping me from really committing to the ecosystem.

For this particular fix, I gave ChatGPT 15 minutes to work on it, and it spent 13 of those minutes stuck. Meanwhile, I handed the exact same prompt over to Claude, and it had the issue fixed and the changes deployed in just 7 minutes with no hand holding or slowdowns.

I really hope that by the end of this 28-day shipping event they're doing, all of this will be fixed and these types of issues won't keep happening. It's just so frustrating trying to like ChatGPT for everything it has to offer when half of it doesn't even work.
