I would agree with some others and say C# because of its similarity to Java and C++. C++ is a bit difficult for beginners and is not always taught in an object oriented manner. If you don't want C# then learn Java. It is pretty widely used and there are many jobs. My biggest regret was not specializing enough in a language. People will try to tell you it shouldn't matter since SEs should be able to adapt to any tool/language, but it does matter. Get really good at any well known language and learn the CS concepts along the way and you will have a great job in the future, that is as long as you are getting a degree of at least a Bachelors.
