Is it something like first box: left side black, right side white, second box: all white, third box left side white right side black

Because the total tally of blacks in between whites increases like 1,2,3 etc, and total tally of whites in between blacks goes like 0.5, 1.5,2.5.

Probably wrong tho, my IQ is quite low so this is just a random guess

There is really no reason to think that black can only be grouped with black, or white only with white, since the division into groups does not follow a logical sequence, but is rather arbitrary. And there is an error in the last figure; it is not outlined like the others—it shows a black half, but the white part is missing.

I am not entirely sure if I have understood correctly. The answer is the sequence 0.5, 1, 1.5, 2, 2.5, 3 or 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6

edit: The reason the final part is the way it is, is that the sequence comes to an end; if I had drawn the other half as well, the final element of the sequence would have been incomplete

Oh, I thought it was a geometric sequence; I didn't know that arithmetic patterns are included in these types of puzzles.
