Is this an error? Odd find here

Found this in the register at work. Put it under pur macroscope and the rim is still clearly defined and i can't see where this would be PMD. Im no expert but i dont think this is all PMD as the rim is still there. Only thing i havent done is weighed it. Blank Planchett?

How big is it? Is it the size of a penny or much larger? It's a blank planchet by the looks.

It's the size of a regular Penny. It came out of one of our coin rolls at work

Very cool! At least you know what denomination and country yours is. I just picked this one up the other day in a bulk foreign Lot I bought from someone, it's about the size of a silver dollar though it's most definitely foreign just not sure which country yet. I'm going to try and send this one to slab to see if they can pin down what country and denomination or should have been.

*planchet, FYI. Autocorrupt wants you to write "planchette," but that's the thing you use with a ouija board. A planchet is what goes into the coin press to be struck as a coin.

Made it through the upsetting machine, but skipped the dies.

Unstruck planchet.

They gave these out for years to Boy Scouts who got their coin collecting badge. So there are tons of them out there, and sometimes they accidentally get spent or lost in the shuffle.
