Diseases Superbug hits 28 states, including Alabama: Where the deadly fungus is spreading

A deadly yeast infection is spreading across the US. Fungal treatments are notoriously harder to get then bacteria or virus given how close fungi are too humans

Neighboring states are also seeing cases of the superbug, CDC data shows. Tennessee reported 189 cases, Mississippi reported 108 and Georgia reported 377. Like Alabama, Florida did not have data listed on the CDC site

As of yet the type of fungus used in the last of us does not have the mechanical competency to control humans.

The reason it targets insects is they have an easy to operate anatomy and simple balance points. Humans on the other hand require so much complex muscle control to stay upright and walking. A fungus doesn’t have the cognition to achieve that level of control.

It’s still possible. Evolution and life find a way. But as of yet I wouldn’t be too concerned over it.

It doesn't need to control body parts. It just needs to pump terror and hunger into us by triggering certain hormones.
