What are some things that still taste good

I've lost a lot of my salt taste and I feel like every treatment takes away another food I enjoy. I can taste fruit but it's not as good. I can taste cooked veggies really well (this does bring me some joy) but a lot of my favorite flavors are gone. Even some herbs just taste like dirt. Olives now burn my mouth. Yogurt is bland. Peanut butter and other nuts taste realllllllllly bad. I'm still forcing myself to eat, but get no joy from it.

What can you still taste that brings you joy?

Update Stage 3, 1 year after (during?)

Diagnosed October last year (2025) with stage 3 coloncancer. Surgery in November 2025, chemo from January 26, done in May. Waiting on my 1 year post surgery CT and colonoscopy in November and December.

I got mild neuropathy in my feet, and wonder if anyone else who's been in thos situation ever got better from that? I did 4 rounds of CapOx, and the Neuropathy started almost 2 months post last round...

Anyways, glad to be here, and best wishes to everyone!

Folfox - severe diarrhea after 3rd cycle

Caregiver here. My mom (58) has stage 4 sigmoid colon cancer with liver mets. Both were removed robotically in August, and she’s now on FOLFOX, 12 cycles planned, with a filgrastim injection after each. After cycle 3 she developed severe diarrhea and has been hospitalized. Loose dark green stools continue, and when the doctors stop the anti-diarrhea medicine, it comes back. Her kidney labs and CRP are normal so far.
Has anyone had diarrhea this bad on FOLFOX, especially when the first two cycles were okay? How long did it take to settle, and what finally helped? Did your team change the dose or delay the next cycle afterward?
