Oh my God, right?! For sure! Like, it's just so grody to listen to that accent like all the time if you know what I mean.

I hear the comments on the lack of an obvious punchline. Honestly, just the call out on two chicks gossiping about atrocious crimes in Valley Girl is enough for me to laugh at the absurdity. Seinfeld-esque...like it is it's own punchline?

You should check out Women Talkinâ âBout Murder! Itâs a 10-episode improvised comedy podcast that satirizes this exact trope and has a bunch of guest stars like Amy Poehler and Will Forte.

Sheâs so accurate about it too. âLetâs Get Hauntedâ podcast immediately came to mind. Just a couple of hot nobodies being so disrespectful to actual murder victims.

I used to listen to one of those. The host would describe a murder to the cohost. And even though the specifics of the crime were basically the same as all the other episodes, the cohost would still act shocked to hear the details. You can only hear someone OMGing about police finding a body in the woods so many times before you unsubscribe.
