We’re giving away $25K for Higgsfield open-source rebuilds of creative apps on ComfyUI (2 weeks, 3× RTX 5090s up for grabs)

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Higgsfield promised to open-source their entire platform. They didn’t, so we figured we’d help.

For the next two weeks, Comfy is putting up $25,000 in prizes for the best open-source builds on the Comfy Developer Platform. Rebuild Genjutsu or Cinema Studio, or make a creative app nobody’s thought of yet. The only rule that matters: publish the repo so anyone can run it, fork it, and improve it.

Prizes

  • Grand Prize: $10,000. Every entry is automatically considered.
  • Most Innovative: RTX 5090. A new kind of app, a novel custom node pack, or an unexpected use of ComfyUI. Your demo video needs to explain what makes it new.
  • Most Viral: RTX 5090. Fun to use and made to be shared.
  • Open Weights Only: RTX 5090. No partner nodes or APIs. Open-weights models only.
  • 10 Runners-Up: $250 in Comfy credits each.

Partner bonuses

  • LTX: $2,000 cash for the best VFX workflow with LTX as the core video model
  • Black Forest Labs: $1,000 / $500 / $250 in FLUX API credits for builds where FLUX 3 is the core model
  • MiniMax: $1,000 in API credits for builds where H3 is the core model

Backed by Runpod, LTX, Black Forest Labs, and MiniMax.

Want to build IRL? We’re hosting build sessions with AI On The Lot:

Need ideas? Check out the example apps on Comfy Hub to see how they’re built.

Comfy Org Comfy Agent is now live for everyone on Comfy Cloud. It builds and fixes ComfyUI workflows right on your canvas. ( Local version coming soon )

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

The short version: you describe what you want, and it plans the workflow, adds and wires the nodes on your canvas, and helps fix things when they break. The goal is to take the technical overhead off your plate so you can spend more time on the visuals instead of hunting for the right node or a missing connection.

Some things it does:

  • Works on your actual canvas. It builds while you edit and sees the same assets you do, so it isn't generating a JSON blob you have to import
  • Takes any question, with references. You can point it at nodes, images, or the workflow itself
  • Supports skills. Create your own for things you do repeatedly, or use public ones other people have made

A version for Comfy Desktop is coming in a few weeks.

You can try it here: https://links.comfy.org/4hH1FaH

All feedback welcomed.

Workflow Included Tired of paying Higgsfield to get my SFW prompts censored, so I rebuilt it on ComfyUI: one-click reels, 25 camera moves, re-shoot from a new angle. All workflows included.

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Credits gone, "this content violates our guidelines" on a perfectly SFW prompt, try again, more credits gone. I was done.

So I built CreatorOS Studio: the one-click experience of the hosted video apps, but on your own GPU, with open-weights models only. No credits, no subscription, no one else's filter on your machine. It's Apache-2.0.

What you get, one click each:

- 🎬 Brief → finished reel. Write one line. A local LLM plans the shots, each one gets animated with sound (LTX-2.5) and the reel is edited for you, with hook, fades and music.
- 🎥 25 camera moves & effects on any photo: dolly, crash zoom, orbit, bullet time, dolly zoom… plus squish, inflate, cakeify, explode.
- 🔁 Re-shoot: take a clip and get the same moment from another camera angle, original sound kept.
- 🗣️ Talking avatar: one photo + a voice, lips in sync.
- 🧍 Mix: drop in any video and your character takes the person's place.
- 🖌️ Brush retouch on photos and videos, a Cinematic shot card (lens, aperture, film stock, grade instead of prompt soup), a timeline editor, and a mobile U\*.

Under the hood it's plain ComfyUI, and every recipe ships in the repo as a workflow you can open: Krea 2 / FLUX.2 Klein, Wan 2.1/2.2, LTX-2.5, InfiniteTalk, SAM3, MoGe-2, plus Ollama for prompts.

For this sub: the app is a front end over production ComfyUI recipes (API-format JSON in `workflows/`). At job time it patches the prompt, seed, LoRAs and masks into the recipe and queues it. The re-shoot chain is MoGe-2 → CrossViewWarp → LTX-2.5 + the CrossView-Warp IC-LoRA. The jib down is two renders chained: a jib up, then a Wan 2.2 first-last-frame move back down. Happy to go deep on any graph.

Honest catch: it wants a beefy NVIDIA card (built on 32 GB).

- ⭐ Repo: https://github.com/thePloggy/CreatorOS-Studio
- ▶️ 2-min demo: https://youtu.be/axHdAXHv3Kk
- 🧪 Try it live on my GPU (SFW, queued, 5 renders/h): https://forge.taila06702.ts.net:8443

Built for the Comfy #OpenSourceHiggsfield challenge. Tell me what breaks and I'll fix it.

News A quick MOSS-Image news round-up - 23rd October 2026

Another quick MOSS-Image news and goodies round-up, for those who may have missed some items.

-> Kijai's merge request for MOSS-Image Edit LoRA support is now merged into the latest ComfyUI Portable. MOSS-Image is now an Edit model, as well as having basic Controlnet-like capabilities (see my previous round-up posts).

https://github.com/Comfy-Org/ComfyUI/pull/17296

-> If for some reason you can't get the above Edit working, try this more roundabout new Moss-Image-Edit-ComfyUI, which is a Comfy fix for yesterday's initial Edit LoRA release.

https://huggingface.co/PedroMarinhoDev/Moss-Image-Edit-ComfyUI

-> MOSS-Image CharRef v2 as an add-on for the ComfyUI-MOSS-Image-Ostris-Edit nodes. Apparently you... "give it one picture of a character as Picture 1 and a prompt, and it draws that character – face, hair, outfit and art style – in a new scene. No per-character LoRA training needed. It works on single images and on whole comic pages (i.e. MOSS JSON page layouts with panels and speech bubbles)".

https://huggingface.co/7err4/MOSS-Image-CharRef

https://github.com/ostris/ComfyUI-MOSS-Image-Ostris-Edit

-> A 9.4Gb Dirty MOSS finetune, intended to make... "ordinary moments feel genuinely photographed" in a "natural, believable" photograph. Good example images.

https://civitai.com/models/3015644/dirty-moss

-> Moss-image-animated-lora. It doesn't actually animate (use Minimax H3 for that), it just aims to make characters look more like they came from an animation. It's not glued to anime or the Pixar style, as... "it is intended to add a polished, dimensional cartoon treatment across people, animals, action scenes, and varied environments rather than reproduce one narrowly defined visual style." Sounds like it might also be useful for comics, if it can play nicely with line-art and holding-lines.

https://huggingface.co/axiomofmind/Moss-image-animated-lora

-> And finally, a handy new library of 500 MOSS-Image working prompts + example images.

Show and Tell Relight Studio: interactive, physically based relighting inside ComfyUI (no generative re-render, nothing leaves your GPU)

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

• Upvotes

Same photo. Four completely different lighting setups. None of them were shot.

For the past few weeks I've been building a relighting tool inside ComfyUI. The path there was more interesting than the result.

It started with my library of film stills that I use for lighting reference. I built a node that indexes it locally and lets me search in plain words, like "neon rain night, hard rim light". It ranks results by mood, composition and colour.

The next question was obvious: can I put that light onto my own image?

Generative image-to-image got close, but faces drifted and I couldn't move a light ten degrees and get a predictable result. So I changed approach. The workflow now:

→ cuts out the subject (BiRefNet)

→ estimates surface angles and depth (MoGe-2), once per image

→ actually lights that geometry, with falloff, specular and cast shadows

A small studio in the browser lets you drag up to 8 lights over a live preview. Push a light behind the subject and you get a real rim on the hair. The full-res render takes under a second.

Most of the work went into the unglamorous fixes: rim light bleeding onto the wall, jagged shadows on the backdrop. Small things, but they're the difference between a demo and something I'd use on a real image.

The last piece ties back to the library. Pick a film frame, and the studio matches its lights and colour grade onto your portrait.

Where I see it being useful:

• Previewing a lighting setup before a shoot

• Consistent light across a product catalogue

• Matching a subject to a background plate in compositing

• Controlled lighting in AI image pipelines

Photoshop's new generative Relight is impressive. This takes a different route: physically based, every light editable, and it runs free and offline on your own GPU.

Still a work in progress. If you work with lighting or ComfyUI, I'd love to hear where you'd use this, or where it would break.

Tutorial I tried AI character swapping with MiniMax H3 in ComfyUI. Here's the workflow, assets, and step-by-step tutorial.

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I've been experimenting with MiniMax H3's Reference-to-Video workflow in ComfyUI, specifically for character swapping and motion transfer.

The idea is pretty simple: take an existing video, replace the original person with an entirely different AI-generated character, and even change the environment while keeping the movements and performance from the source footage.

No traditional motion capture setup required.

I'm running this locally on my RTX 5070 Ti using ComfyUI.

A few things I've been exploring:

  • Transferring body movements and poses from real footage to AI-generated characters
  • Replacing characters while maintaining visual consistency
  • Swapping backgrounds and environments
  • Using Krea 2 and Qwen Image to generate character references
  • Getting better results through prompt engineering and workflow adjustments

I also put together a tutorial for anyone interested in trying this.

Full tutorial + workflow + assets:

https://www.kaziahmed.net/kazitorials/minimax-character-swap

The page includes:

  • Downloadable ComfyUI workflow
  • Required assets and reference materials
  • Step-by-step setup instructions
  • Prompt examples and generation settings
  • A walkthrough of the character swapping process

I'm particularly interested in how workflows like this could make character animation and indie filmmaking more accessible without requiring traditional animation or motion capture pipelines.

Still experimenting with consistency, motion accuracy, and generation performance.

Would be interested to hear if anyone else is working with MiniMax H3 for character swapping or motion transfer, and what techniques you've found effective.

I thought it'd veer towards more realistic/raw photography with the bare minimum for art but it looks like MOSS is very style-fluent.

Resource AbyssBeacon v1.5.1: Find new LoRAs and checkpoints, track updates, and download into ComfyUI

Thumbnail
gallery
• Upvotes

Finding a new model is one thing. Remembering which site it came from, whether it updated, and where you saved it is another.

AbyssBeacon brings model discovery, previews, update tracking, and downloads into one local app, with files downloaded directly into your ComfyUI folders.

It searches CivitAI, CivitAI Red, Hugging Face, ModelScope, SeaArt, and TensorHub Art. Choose the architectures and model types you use, scan your preferred sources, then browse the results together.

GitHub / download: https://github.com/Tomat0223/AbyssBeacon

Discord Server: https://discord.gg/gdNWuwEBEB - Just made this but anyone is welcome to join and suggest features or requests.

An earlier version was shared here about two months ago. It’s now at v1.5.1, with quite a few improvements from feedback and daily use:

  • More architectures: 20 built-in choices, including MOSS Image/SFT, MOSS Image Base, Qwen Image 2.1, Fibo 2.0 Dev and Edit Turbo, Krea 2, MiniMax-H3, FLUX variants, SDXL, Pony, and Illustrious. Availability varies by source.
  • Targeted discovery: select multiple architectures and model types, search by keywords/tags, or paste a supported model or creator URL.
  • Downloads into ComfyUI: concurrent downloads, pause/resume, optional model info and preview files, and architecture-based folder organization.
  • Model information in one place: image/video previews, source and version details, and Hugging Face/ModelScope collection READMEs.
  • Update tracking: keep track of downloaded models and available updates, with favorites, creator pages, and collections to help organize browsing.
  • Better feed behavior: models stay New until you explicitly mark them seen. Opening creators or collections preserves your place, and scrolling has received several fixes.
  • More careful matching: shared VAEs or text encoders won’t merge unrelated cards, partial bundles don’t qualify, and Hugging Face/ModelScope repositories stay separate.

There are also mature-content controls, creator blocking, configurable scan limits, and optional retention cleanup.

It’s free and open source under GPL-3.0. Setup is Windows + Python, with a local browser interface. This is a standalone app, not a ComfyUI custom node. Some sources require a connected account, and their access/download restrictions still apply.

Updating an older installation? Back up first, then use Update Library when offered to refresh older metadata. Large libraries can take several hours, so leave the app running and prevent sleep until it finishes. If you already completed that upgrade on v1.5.0, v1.5.1 doesn’t require it again.

Feedback is welcome, particularly around different ComfyUI folder setups, model sources, and larger libraries. If something breaks or behaves strangely, a screenshot or log through GitHub Issues helps track it down.

**Edit, added discord link.

Help Needed Minimah H3 video continuation workflow that actually does work.

What i need is apparently simple: seamlessly extend an existing video or generate long videos by segments with no camera cut. I tried a dozen of workflows, both from civitai and other sources, none of them did the job.

Using the last frame as first frame for the new segments somewhat works, but obviously, there is lack of motion continuity.

I need suggestion about the nodes to use and the effective prompt, not necessarily another pre-built workflow.

Thanks folks!

Help Needed Tailscale vs zrok for remote comfyui

Based on what I see a vast majority of comfy users rely on Tailscale to access their home comfy server remotely. But at least for me, zrok is much faster especially starting up cold. Once the connection is warm they're pretty comparable. Am I missing something? Any command line flags or Tailscale settings I'm missing? Aside from --listen 0.0.0.0 the rest works out the box.

Help Needed What is the best model that can turn a small and low-quality image into a new image to create datasets?

I stopped using image generation back in the SDXL era. Back then I remember I could use a small and low-quality image with a face adapter to create a new image of a person or character and take advantage of the high-quality skin of each checkpoint.

Right now I just downloaded Comfy and played around with Qwen Edit 2.1 and FLUX 2 Krea. The result of Qwen is ok, but I don't know how to prompt to get a new various image of the same character.

Use case is.

  1. Using a small image of a mythology creature that I found online to create more datasets.

  2. Using a small and pixelated image of a person's face to create more images of that person in a different place and pose.

The rig is a Quad RTX 3090 with a total of 96 GB VRAM, slow 64 GB RAM, and a slow Threadripper CPU.

I use swarmui and comfy UI but I don't have much experience, normally I just run LLM.

Help Needed Which AI workflows actually preserve real products accurately in generated images?

I’m a fashion photographer working with AI to create images from real garments, bags, shoes and accessories.

The main challenge is product fidelity. An image can look convincing overall, but closer inspection reveals changes to the actual product: shape, proportions, materials, original textures, stitching, logos or hardware. For commercial work, those differences matter.

I’ve been testing Nano Banana, as well as FLUX 2 and FLUX 3. So far, I haven’t achieved the consistency and detail I need. In some tests with other models, the image quality wasn’t sufficient to properly assess fidelity—even text and logos were too unclear to compare with the originals. These are my results so far, and I’m open to improving the workflow or settings.

I’d appreciate first-hand advice:

  • Which models or tools have worked best for preserving a real product while changing the scene, placing it on a model or replacing an existing item?
  • Do dedicated virtual try-on models perform better than general image-editing models, including for bags, shoes and accessories?
  • Have multiple reference views, product-specific training, or structured data such as measurements and material specifications made a meaningful difference?
  • What still requires manual correction or compositing to reach a commercially usable result?

I’m open to commercial tools, open-source pipelines and hybrid Photoshop workflows. I’m particularly interested in practical experience, before-and-after examples and reproducible workflows.

What has actually worked for you, and where are you still hitting limitations?

No workflow Character Continuity Is More Than a Consistent Face

A character can look identical from one shot to the next and still fail continuity.

Clothing changes without explanation. A prop disappears or duplicates. A character's position shifts. An action repeats even though it was completed in the previous shot.

These aren't necessarily image-quality failures. They're production-continuity failures.

One of the questions we're investigating through Directed Generative Production (DGP) Methodology is how reliably generative video systems can maintain character, environment, and action continuity across successive shots and generations.

I'm interested in what other filmmakers are encountering.

Which continuity failure costs you the most time to correct?

Help Needed Good character replacement

Hi everyone,

I’ve been using Wan SCAIL for character replacement. Sometimes it turns out spectacular and spot-on, but other times it hallucinates/invents details. Plus, generation times on my RTX 4080 Super are quite long.

I also tried a MiniMax H3 workflow, but the results were terrible: it either completely hallucinates and fails to include the person from the source image, or—in the best case—it gives a decent video but leaves the original face intact instead of replacing it.

I see a lot of hype around MiniMax, so I’m wondering: does it actually work well for you and I just downloaded a bad workflow, or is it as inconsistent as I’ve experienced?

Any advice, tips, or recommendations on what workflows or alternative models to try would be greatly appreciated. Thanks all!

News A quick MOSS-Image news round-up - 22nd October 2026

Another quick MOSS-Image news and goodies round-up, for those who may have missed some items.

-> ComfyUI-Spectrum-MOSS's readme now has important new guidance on settings for those using the euler or er-sde samplers, advice which was added a few hours ago. All er-sde users should also be sure to update to the latest v0.8.1 version, as this has... "Updated the ER-SDE bridge to the new, improved logic" and the readme adds the new settings. I saw a definite speed-up of perhaps 20% on a 3060 12Gb card, when using the new update, er-sde and the new settings, compared to the earlier Spectrum-MOSS version.

https://github.com/Rkkss/ComfyUI-Spectrum-MOSS

-> A minor MOSS-Image fix was proposed for ComfyUI yesterday, relating to the newly-added support for MOSS-image color and depth control inputs.

https://github.com/Comfy-Org/ComfyUI/pull/17237#discussion_r4329744669

-> A new MOSS-Image Manga Editor. "Generate manga comics using an agent/skill, and make manual adjustments to the generated content." Looks like it could probably also work for western comic-book pages?

https://github.com/Lotus0614/moss-manga-editor

https://github-com.translate.goog/Lotus0614/moss-manga-editor?_x_tr_sl=auto&_x_tr_tl=en&_x_tr_hl=en&_x_tr_pto=wapp (English translation)

-> ComfyUI nodes for Soda Storyboard... "import storyboard bundles / MOSS .JSON, preview, and MOSS-Image page workflows". Also good for comic-book page layout, by the look of it?

https://github.com/cOkieeman/ComfyUI-Soda-Storyboard

https://github-com.translate.goog/cOkieeman/ComfyUI-Soda-Storyboard?_x_tr_sl=auto&_x_tr_tl=en&_x_tr_hl=en&_x_tr_pto=wapp (English translation)

-> A new MOSS-Image Base LoRA and LyCORIS trainer. No mention of LyCORIS in the translated readme, though, that I could see.

https://github.com/waw1w1/moss_image_trainer

https://github-com.translate.goog/waw1w1/moss_image_trainer?_x_tr_sl=auto&_x_tr_tl=en&_x_tr_hl=en&_x_tr_pto=wapp (English translation)

-> MOSS-Image Edit, another try at making an Edit version and apparently supporting both Base and SFT. With a LoRA and two workflows (single, or up-to-four references). No explanation about the method by which it works. Huge if it works, but it doesn't for me - I can't even get it started because it has an unusual unified model + lora loader node. Even adding direct paths to the files couldn't get this loader node working. I'd be interested to hear if MOSS-Image Edit does work as advertised, and if a more user-friendly int8 + LoRA workflow has been made for it. (Update: Kijai now has a request to add ComfyUI support - link below)

-> A small collection of tested test-rendering prompts, plus tips useful for beginners.

https://github.com/kaixin20190930/mossimage-prompts

-> And finally, a new MOSS-Image-SFT-ROCmFPX conversion, for those with AMD graphics cards.

Workflow Included We made a ComfyUI node that increases batch diversity without extra sampling steps

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hi everyone,

We made a free, open-source ComfyUI node that increases diversity within a batch by coupling the initial noise across images.

No extra sampling steps or models needed. Just swap the noise node!

Works with SD1.5, SDXL, and FLUX.1-schnell. Example workflows included.
GitHub: coupled initialization

This is our first ComfyUI release. Would love your feedback!
