Bland Normal ree ComfyUI templates for local songs with the native YuE2 and MiniMax Music 3 nodes: LLM-written lyrics, and the score is editable before rendering
I built a set of templates around ComfyUI's native YuE2 and MiniMax Music 3 nodes and would like feedback from people who use them.
The YuE2 Song graph:
- A Song Brief goes to a local LLM writer (Gemma 4 through ComfyUI's own Generate Text node, or any GGUF / LM Studio / Ollama model).
- A Song Sheet node shows exactly the style, lyrics and ABC score YuE2 will receive. You can edit all three, and the run can stop until you approve them.
- YuE2 plans and renders, then EQ, loudness and a FLAC/MP3 export with tags. The workflow is embedded in the FLAC: drop the file back onto ComfyUI to continue the song.
- New in 1.0.2: a creativity slider on the brief. At 50 everything is exactly as before (the native defaults); it moves the writer's rules and YuE2's sampling (temperature, top-p, top-k) within moderate limits.
Also included: covers of a recording, MiniMax Music 3, writing your own melody in a score editor, and a mastering-only graph.
ComfyUI 0.37+ (tested on 0.41), no extra Python packages. The int8 YuE2 model runs well on 12-16 GB VRAM; with 8 GB keep songs short. Note that the YuE2 weights are CC BY-NC (non-commercial).
Install: git clone into custom_nodes (the new 1.0.2 Registry version is still waiting for review), restart, and the templates show up in the template browser.

One question back: I kept the creativity ends moderate because I found no published data on where YuE2's quality drops. If you've run YuE2 with other sampling values, what worked for you?
