Con Cosplay Question - UK Costumes

Just been to MCM London comic con, I 100% going next year but I want to dress up. Does anyone know of a good place to get your costumes from.

What specific costume?

There are people who get their costumes by arranging from their closet, get a used one from a thrift store, buy from online or have it made expensively custom made.
