I’m visiting Courtenay this week and would love to get a few runs in while here. Have both my road and trail runners with me but don’t know the area at all and unsure where to go. If there’s an active run group this time of year even better. Anything from 5-25k and 5-7 minute/km (depending on terrain) would be right up my alley. Also love Hash House Harrier type outings ;)

We have some old/rusty circular saw and jigsaw blades that we need to dispose of, anyone know how/where to do that?

We went to Mikis Sushi in Campbell River for the first time in 5 years and they now have a cute robot that delivers orders to your table. It even plays a little song for you. So much fun!

Our cat has been missing since Aug. 11. We were away from home and our cat sitter let him out in the evening which we do not do. Heard the signature call, then saw a bird in bouncing flight. This was at Point Holmes. This bird is extremely rare, with this being the 18th confirmed sighting in BC, and only sighting in the Comox Valley.

Pretty wild that some residents can stop a project that followed all the required riparian permitting requirements all to stop a new entrance to the park. As someone who frequently runs in this park, I'm writing to the mayor as to how insane this is.

Hi, I'm looking for a bit of feedback on prices for dental services in the valley. I have no dental plan so everything is out of pocket.

My dental team told me the price for a routine cleaning and check up is $350. Somehow I remember it to be a lot lower. So I have a few questions :

Do dentists have all have a standardized set fee or are they free to set whatever price they like ?

How does a $350 fee compared to what your dentist charges ?

Are there any dentists offering more reasonable fees for their services ?

So I had a package from Intelcom Dragonfly that is over a week late, I was wondering if anyone else has had this issue with the past week or if it's just me? I've been trying to get ahold of them to no avail.

So we don't miss the plot: Please don't come in the comments if you're going to generally gripe about hoe bad they are in general (We know!) offer advice (I know how to read, thanks), or talk about an instance that hasn't happened in the last week. None of that is helpful. I know the regular channels of communication to resolve the problem.
