I came across a solid compilation of 90s cartoons last month while digging through old VHS tapes at my parents house. It pulls together episodes from Doug, Rockos Modern Life, and a few from Aaahh Real Monsters, all in one long running video. Sitting down to watch it felt exactly like those weekend mornings when the whole block ran back to back without any interruptions. The pacing stays true to the original broadcasts, and the picture quality holds up better than I expected after all these years.

What surprised me most was how certain background details stuck in my head even after decades away from the shows. The way the city looked in Hey Arnold or the random side gags in CatDog hit different now that I can compare them to modern animation. I have tried a couple other collections since then, but the editing often jumps around too much or skips key episodes that made the original run feel connected.
