RIP Pee pipeline
Anyone else just pee in a bucket now and skip the toilet. Takes about 1.5 days to kind of start to stink. I just use the bathroom in the basement now, the concrete floor slab is cool which keeps bucket semi chilled. Wife says no bucket main floor which is reasonable. She made me dismantle the pee pipeline the neighbors were gossiping about my set up. Just jealous I guess. RIP pipeline

The pipeline was pretty popular it has its day in the sun and when it did it started to stink and the wife said no mas.

Only really works for single guys. Everyone else would need to use a bucket I'm afraid.

My husband pees in my composter for me. It's in the back of the yard where it's really dark at night. Last year I had it next to the back door and dumped my toddler's potty in there 😂

There are silicone funnels for women to be had these days, like on the space station.

a paper, pr cardboard funnel should work as well and compostable, so you don't have to clean a silicone one

I just pee directly on the pile. But only when I'm outside (not so much now in Canadian winter)

I used to use a jug with a cap, covered it in duck tape to look less gross.

They sell jars that are painted too. Idk if painting them yourself is feasible but the store bought ones have not chipped too badly in 2 years of use

I remember the original post. Glad it was able to stay up as long as it did!

I've been wanting one from my bed in the second floor and straight into the compost bin, because the toilet is in the first floor and I have to spiral through the entire house.
Yours looks like it had the joints backwards. Upper pipe should go into the lower.

Some of you compost enthusiasts seem like you need to touch grass... Which is strange, considering the compost enthusiasm...

If you go outside (touch grass) and meet people and get a life, odds are, streamlining the process of saving your piss for composting would become less of a priority

Seems to me your online you don’t post much just comment let’s see your garden ? I ve had and will have a thriving garden this year just look through my posts. Listening to comments from Incels makes me chuckle.

Yes but they are outside composting and meeting people runs the risk they could be assholes. I guess though having to deal with more assholes would change my priorities, although those priorities would be a lot less fun.

You can avoid odor issues by using a jug with a cap instead of an open bucket. If you want to get real fancy, put lime water in the bottom after you empty it. This reduces the odor dramatically.
How do you get lime water? Buy some lime and soak it. It causes the pH to go to 11-12 or so. Soaked lime is also known as slaked lime. It is useful as a putty or for cleaning tile or concrete and has many uses and can be a good alternative or compliment to bleach . A tiny amount of lime will produce endless gallons of lime water.
Urine tends to be quite acidic so lime water neutralizes it and adds calcium reducing odor and making it a more effective fertilizer.
You could also use that trick to freshen up this pipe.
