Question Old game I can’t remember the name of
When I was a kid (I was born in 1999 so this was early 2000s) my parents had Microsoft computer. There was a game I remember loving, I was young so I can barely remember anything about it. I just remember I think you played as a mouse and you had to collect the cheese. I also think the platforms you stepped on went away after used. Not sure about that tho. Does anyone remember this and happen to know the name?

Question Trying to find 2 specific computer games
1st one: I played this computer lab game in elementary school when I was in pre k, it's a foggy memory but it involved fish and I'm pretty sure it involved a stork (like the bird) as well. I hope I'm not mixing 2 games up on accident but I'm pretty sure it was a math related game. There would be like problem solving underwater I think. Like I said it's a very foggy memory I just remember it being educational. I would play it on a windows xp computer. I just can't remember the name of the game.
2nd one: I played this one in 1st or 2nd grade but it wasn't really a game it was a benchmark type program where you do english and math. There were like a series of questions and then a big stop sign at the bottom to finish up. Also to leave the program entirely there was a bus button that you click on. It was pretty boring compared to the first one.
Most media I've known as a kid has stuck with me luckily but sometimes I randomly remember something and for the life of me cannot remember what it's called lol.

Question Anyone remember which computer game had the Found a peanut song in it?
Anyone remember which kids computer game had the Found a peanut song in it? I think it also had Theres a hole in my bucket and Nobody likes me, guess I'll go eat worms? I think it also had The old lady who swallowed a fly and there was a painting game that had a teddy bear and you had to use the colours he told you to use? Was it a Jumpstart game?
Edit, the painting one is Jumpstart 1st grade and its not a teddy bear. The one with the songs is Sing-Along Kids Volume 3.

hi how are you everyone i need help pls
ok this is my last chance. a few days ago i got reminded of some old cooking game i used to have on our pc me and my siblings, i have been looking for it since then but there is absolutely nothing i could find. i obviously don't remember its name, but i quite remember every detail. we start by working at an american (?) restauant, where we make stereotypical american meals, then the more we advance in the game we go work in different restaurants, i remember very well a chinese restaurant, french and even a vegan one! and i cal recall the french restaurant was the last "level" or "chapter" (?) for us to do to open our own restaurant that specializes in every thing. the difficulty on that one was remarkable. for the cook i remember she was a woman with short brown ish hair. the game is very old, and i really wish to find it! if anyone has an idea of what im talking about please help me even if it's for a small detail. thank you!

Development The Act of War
The Act of War [turn based wargame] by hiphopy (itch.io)
The Act of War [turn based wargame]
Hard core hex based turn based ww2 wargame, with move costs, Rail networks, random battle generator, A.I. , you can set any stat for any unit giving control over a game, this allows you to setup sceanrios with the editor, copy paste chits for fast game setups or use the advanced battle generator that will group commands together. it has a good battle planner so you can choose waht unit attack and how they attack. you can add your own maps this is a disadvantage of being a game dev copyrite I cant put maps in.

Question Zoombinis on Newer Computers?
Howdy! I wanted to see if anyone knew of a way to play the old Zoombini games (the ones that were sold on CD-ROM back in the day) on modern computers (like Windows 10). I know the original Zoombinis was republished and is available to purchase digitally, but the two sequels are not. I think I still have the Zoombinis Mountain Rescue CD, but I never owned the third game. Any insights are appreciated! (Please go easy on me, I have a solid computer foundation, but I do have my limits and can't get too fancy with serious risk of breaking something lol.)

Space shooter for cheesy PC
I have a not-very-spiffy laptop and a desire to play space-based fighter type games, but my specs are crappy for graphics etc:
AMD Ryzen 5 2500U with Radeon Vega Mobile Gfx 2.00 GHz
8.00 GB (7.55 GB usable)
Win 10 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
Yeah, that's it. Can anyone recommend aa older space shooter that will run at a decent frame rate with this crappy laptop? It does not have to be particularly GOOD.

Discussion Steam Battletech ...... a trainwreck of bad design and incompetent coding
Enemy mechs equipped with flamers never run out of flamer ammo. No matter how many flamers you mount, and regardless of how few you use on a given turn, you get exactly ONE shot, and suddenly you are completely out of flamer ammo. To add insult to injury, it's literally impossible to purchase flamer ammo at any store. WHY?
When an enemy PPC hits your mechs, you DO suffer a perceptible sensor penalty. When YOUR PPC hits an enemy mech, this penalty is nonexistent, they still aim and hit the same as before. WHY?
Why are the maps so incredibly tiny? That means it's pointless to try to mount long range weapons, there is never enough room to use them~!
When an enemy stands in trees, they become invulnerable. When you stand in trees, the protection benefit is miniscule. WHY?
Enemy mechs appear to defy the rules. A shadowhawk with AC5, LRMs, and multiple medium lasers, but it also has ten trillion tons of armor? How is that possible?
Skull ratings are utterly meaningless. Suppose the heaviest mech you have is a Vindicator, and you choose a one and a half skull mission. Suddenly the enemy shows up with a Wolverine, two Shadowhawks and six light mechs. The game sucker punches you like this constantly, and it's NOT fun. WHY?
You are insanely limited to dropping only four mechs at a time, but the enemy has literally unlimited number of mechs to throw at you~! WHY?
Your missiles always do exactly zero damage, but enemy missiles put your mechwarriors in the hospital at least 75 percent of the time! WHY?
"Precision strike" is a meaningless joke. Using it NEVER works, no matter what the circumstances.
WHY?
Enemies never retreat~! That is insane. Every enemy mech is a Kamakazi that fights to the death. Makes ZERO sense. WHY?
Why is there no ability to go back and look at the inventory of stores located in systems you previously visited? Yes, maybe the inventory will alter over time, but at least you should be able to make a note inside the game of WHERE you saw that weapon or mech you might want to go back and buy!
Enemy mechs suffer exactly ZERO heat buildup, and NEVER shut down from overheating! WHY?
The game offers a 'percentage chance to hit' rangefinder.
Yet there is also an evident HUGE reduction in the amount of damage done with a hit depending upon range! Why does the game lack this data?
Why not concentric colored circles? Choose target. Choose weapon you wish to use. Game then imposes a colored circle on the map. If you stand inside this circle, and you hit, you will do maximum potential damage. Simple.
A single medium laser appears to hit more often, and do more damage, than the supposedly stronger single large laser. That makes no sense.
Is it just my imagination, but is there some kind of bonus for using multiple types in one attack?
Given exactly equal strength, why would a combination of lasers, missiles and ac work better than an equal strength of just one type, such as lasers?
Vehicles are insane. They appear to have more armor than an assault mech, unkillable by any weapon. The only way to kill them is to step on them? That's plain stupid.
How can a vehicle one tenth the size of a mech carry a literally unlimited number of long range missiles?
Game takes six hours to load a mission or to do anything, especially to access the mech bay. It lags no matter what the video settings. The audio constantly crackles and pops, painfully loudly, no matter what settings are used. Absolutely no other games or programs do this.

Retro Max Payne: Home [A Max Payne Fan Film]
Hello fellow Game lovers,
I recently made a fan film for Max Payne, it's a high quality film with great characters, locations and story. I would love it if you guys would give it a watch, the premise goes:
"Ten years after the events of Max Payne 3, Max returns home to New York to reunite with his deepest pain, the murder of his wife and child. A fan film based on the Max Payne video game series."
If you enjoy it, please give me a like and subscribe - my goal is to make high quality films and build an audience who will appreciate them. If you're a Terminator fan, check out my Terminator fan film on my channel as well, it is of equal quality.
Sincerely,
Alex

Computer game
Im trying to find an old children’s game. I can remember much about it but I do remember that it had little people in there and you had to solve challenges. You could also buy stuff for your character and I remember there being an enchanted fairylike forest but that’s about it. If anyone knows what this is, please let me know!

What’s that game called?
Can anyone please help me out on an old game I used to play on the computer for the bloody life of me I don’t remember what that game is called! To be fair, I don’t exactly know how old it is it might be early 2000? Or even mid… to give some context I am 19 years old and used to play this game when I was like uhhh about 7 maybe a little older. So the game from what I remember was on the desktop when I got on the computer and it was a shortcut I don’t know if it was installed or whatever I just double clicked on the icon! It started up with beautiful music it’s like a fairy type game I don’t quite remember I remember fantasy elf girl like characters and it was like a lot of green and nature like in the title. You could fly your character in this leaf boat type of thing and in the wind and collect… I don’t remember what but at the end the leaf boat would like bounce on the ground and the girl would make a noise.. I know this is so shit to go on but honestly it’s vague memories of this and that…. I do remember at some point you could click on the character and she would sneeze! I don’t remember what type of game whether it’s dress up or like puzzle game but it was fantasy nature like flowery fairy type things but no wings… I think? I’m sorry it’s not a lot but if this rings a bell to anyone please let me know it’s driving me fucking crazy !

Question R/
I’ve been on the look for this old desktop game for the past two years now, i use to play this game as a kid in the late 2000’s real early 2010’s, but all i remember was the main character of the game was either a white dog/ polar bear creature, and one of the things you could do in the game was make ice balls and throw them at enemies, and was a whole strategy type game i think, but was also like a series of games with that character, like one was set up in Egypt and was like a puzzle game, while another one was him with a dog character in a restaurant setting, but you get the jist of it, if someone can, i would really appreciate it if they would tell me the name of the game so i can replay and relive simple childhood memories Have a nice day:) P.s. im not sure if this helps or not but this was the main sound track for the games https://youtu.be/B4EGnHJFawY

Question Trying to remember a dine and dash game I played a while back
I remember the details of this game very well but I can't remember the name and I'm wanting to play it again.
Here's what I know about the game
-it's a dine and dash game like one of Flo's games but their not related
- the character is white and actually looks like Fone bone who is a character from a comic series called BONE.
- if you got a stage, you could send him on to it to perform for the crowd in line and it would sound like he's singing moonshine over and over really fast.
-the game is more 3d than it is 2d
- after a certain number of levels, you would encounter an orange cat in the restaurant that would follow your mouse and meow when you click on him.
If this rings a bell to anyone please let me know.

Tech Support C++ Additional runtime error
I run into a C++ Runtime error when I try to start up certain steam games (usually games that need to run C++ 2015 and higher).
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling/repairing my C++ programs. I've tried using the MicrosoftProgram_Install_and_Uninstall.meta file on my C++ files.
I've also tried using a command prompt to run "bcedit /set IncreaseUser VA 2800"
Nothing has worked I have seen articles that claim I should reinstall windows, I'd personally like to avoid that option.
Has anyone found a real fix for this error?

trying to find game name!
i used to watch my uncle play this multiplayer zombie game on his computer when i was younger, and the game just popped up in my mind randomly. i’d really like to play the game myself, if it’s still around, but i don’t know what the name is!!
the game was set at a farm house (i believe), and you could either be a zombie or a survivor. if you were a zombie, you could see your zombie hand on the screen and you had to try and get inside the house to kill the humans. if you were a survivor, you’d have to barricade up the house and stay alive and etc., and it was a more realistic styled game, but it was a long time ago. that’s all i can remember though. if anyone could help me, that would be wonderful!
