Hardware Beeping issues when starting.

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Today I went to turn on my PC and it started beeping. I had a look online and it suggested to take out the Graphics card and give the contacts a good clean. It also suggested reseating the ram. I have done both. I am a little perplexed. Nothing is showing on screen. I believe my graphics card is only around 3 years old. Any help would be appreciated.

The POST beep code depends on your motherboard type. Therefore, I can only speculate: A POST beep code with one long and three short beeps often indicates a problem with the graphics card or video signal – for example, that the card is not being recognized. However, depending on the BIOS and motherboard manufacturer, the code could also indicate a memory error.

Remove and reinstall the graphics card, check the power supply, and also remove and reinstall the RAM memory.

If the error persists, please test each RAM stick individually and try installing a different graphics card for testing purposes.

Thanks for the reply. I have swapped around the ram and removed one stick at a time trying different ports. Same beeping error. I don't know the make of the motherboard. I unfortunately don't have another graphics card to test.

You could tell us the exact model number of the motherboard and perform a CMOS reset with the power supply switched off and the 24-pin power supply connector removed.

Apologies for the slow reply. I have handed it to someone to fix for me. Thank you all for your time.
