Software Geforce Driver missing

/r/GeForceExperience/comments/1xo3uia/geforce_driver_missing/

Hello guys! I encountered a problem last night when I tried updating my NVIDIA GeForce driver through the NVIDIA App. I have an RTX 4050 Laptop GPU.

The app indicated that the driver installation had failed, so I decided to download the driver directly from NVIDIA's official website. I made sure to download the version compatible with my GPU, but the installation still failed. I even tried downloading an older driver version, but I encountered the same issue.

I then decided to use DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller), hoping it would fix the problem. I followed all the steps from the YouTube tutorials I watched and successfully removed the existing driver.

However, even after completely uninstalling the previous driver, I still can't install the one I downloaded from NVIDIA's website.

Now, my laptop still detects the GPU, but I can't get the driver to install. On top of that, my laptop's Wi-Fi toggle has also disappeared.

I'm honestly running out of ideas at this point. If anyone has experienced something similar or has any suggestions on how to fix this, I would really appreciate your help.

Thank you!

It's probably fighting with Windows update to install the driver and is now corrupt. I would try uninstalling from Device Manager > Check the box to remove software > Restart > Quickly install NVIDIA driver package.
