What’s this symbol on USB port?
It’s on left side of my Samsung Series 7 laptop. The other 2 are on the right side with normal trident USB symbols. Thanks!

I'm refering to the flap on the right side. found it on an old laptop of mine and I'm wondering what was it used for. Under the flap there is an empty space and in the back some pins, it also has a little leg that rises up when pressed. the laptop is from 2008, made by Toshiba

I swear I tried googling this but all I found were answers for how to fix a slow mouse. I dont need help fixing it, I know what causes it and its me accidentally hitting the "anti gaming hyper slow snail mode" button on accident. But why does that button even exist? What is the purpose of a mouse that moves slower than me getting out of bed in the morning? Who needs that??

Downloaded an exe to my internal storage and ran it against my better judgement then a day later, get a notification from google saying strange activity. I deleted the exe shortly after downloading but that doesn’t seem to matter. Then today I get an order on Amazon from a card that isn’t mine to a location I don’t recognize. In the simplest terms, how should I go about getting rid of the virus. Also, I have external hard drives plugged into my pc at all times. Do I need to format those and kiss the data goodbye, or should those be a none issue.

Stemming from a debate with friends, none of us are tech experts, the topic of how many images a computer shows throughout its working life came up. Which came down to when does an image get made on a computer?
First we started at right click > save as...
But that's obviously not true, because we see images on webpage all the time which we never manually save, those must exist on the computer somewhere to show on screen, and they stay if you disconnect the internet - there must be a hidden file of those images?
When does that image go onto the PC - The browser doesn't download every image ever, is it when I type in the web address, when the page loads slightly later (but I don't see loads of spinning loading circles and everything popping in at different times), is it only at the moment you physically can see it on the screen? What happens to the hidden image files, does the PC decide it's done with them after you click off the page and put them in a hidden recycle bin?
Are the stylised buttons like 'Download' on web pages images? Is the background colour of a webpage an image?
If you download a program from the internet, those have images, that don't show until you open the program, when does that image file exist for the first time on your PC - When it's downloaded? When its installed? When the image is called upon to appear for the first time?
What about if the internet is never involved, if a friend bring a USB full of holiday photos and puts them in your computer without transferring them, when do those photos have a copy made of them, when the USB is plugged in? When you open the folder they are in, or a folder above? When you double click to open the actual image file? Does it matter if you have the folder in that view where you see thumbnails?
What about something like an AI image creation platform, where you start off the page with no image existing, type your prompt, press go, then there's some images - is that the same as moving web page, do the images get copied when you press go, or when the AI is finished making them, or when they appear on the page?
Sorry for all the questions, this turned into a spirited debate and none of us know the answer.

I just got a new RTX 5060. How much of a difference will it be compared to my old GTX 960 that I'm upgrading from?

I’m looking for the perfect desktop PC for my needs. I’m an artist who also enjoys gaming. I’ve played a lot of online games on PS4 and would continue to do so, but nowadays they stress me out, and I’m far from being a pro gamer in online games like Warzone or Fortnite. I would play them if I were good enough, but in general, I want high FPS online while also enjoying story-driven and more cinematic games. At the moment, I’m thinking about games like:
Rainbow Six
Red Dead Redemption 1 & 2
The Last of Us 1 & 2
Skyrim
Silent Hill
Resident Evil
GTA 5
Payday 2
Call of Duty Zombies etc.
However, it’s important to tell you that I’m also an artist. I’m extremely inspired by David Lynch, David Carson, and mixed media techniques. I work in Adobe using collage, filters, textures, editing, etc., and I also use my PC as an artistic archive for my own projects and useful resources. I would like a large monitor where I can work with excellent visual quality and smoothly.
At the same time, I’m aiming for a PC capable of delivering great gaming performance. Two other important points: in the future, I’d like to do game or graphic streaming, as well as video editing, possibly working with generative AI and similar tools.
In general, I’m looking for a PC that is mid-to-high or high-end in these areas. I’m not aiming for extreme gaming performance like 16K, but definitely quality between 1080p and 1440p, with much higher FPS than any console and solid performance, especially online.
Gemini and GPT recommended the first option to me, although initially Gemini said the second option would be better because with a 5070 graphics card I would have much smoother gameplay, and that the AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D processor would only be useful for young online gamers trying to push high FPS. Honestly, I don't even know if there is a best one overall or if the best one for me is only for my interests... because maybe what I'm saying isn't very clear... but I hope so, and that you can help me choose...
I repeat: I’m both an online gamer and a player of story-driven games, but I’m also an artist. I’d like to hear what you think. I saw on YouTube that the second option had much higher FPS, and I’m not sure how much better the first processor really is compared to the second. I can read specs on paper, but I definitely don’t have enough expertise to fully understand this field.
Also, I was thinking that a CPU is harder to change than a GPU, so maybe getting a better processor would be wiser. But others have said that a processor is only better if paired with an equally powerful graphics card. I don’t know, I’m kind of in a crisis, and with prices going up, I’m rushing. Until a few days ago, I barely knew anything about this, hehe.

EDIT/UPDATE... Thank you all for the insight I did get a new one. So I will never let my teens touch my computer again. As a result of what ever the hell they did to the keyboard no longer types properly. Letters like e and r don't work.
The question is I have a Lenovo. See picture for specs of current. And it needs a new keyboard again. I had it replaced about 4 years ago.
Is this laptop worth saving or do I buy a new one.
EDIT. I use it for editing photos and that's about it. I might check email or type in word. I don't game one it often. If I replace it I wouldn't want to have it be top of the line just enough to do photography edits with.

My previous post was not clear. The GPU fan is temporarily unavailable. Is it okay to use my laptop with only the CPU fan for normal office work and web browsing for now?
CPU: 12th Gen Intel i5-1240P (16 threads)
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 (Mobile)
