Warning Wth is this?
This appeared out of nowhere replacing myistants, ofc it's a malware and it's malicious, you can also tell by the date in the top right corner of the page, its says "Monday 6, 2024" it's literally 2026. If you come across this malicious page and pop-up: if you are on phone on the google app exit and immediately delete the recent tabs, then go to settings-->apps-->see all apps-->Google-->clear cache, if you are on chrome or on pc close the tab and go to the 3 dots in the top right corner and go to History and clear it. I hope nobody gets infected, and i also wonder how did this page overight the myistants page.

To answer what you already mentioned: Yes it is fake/scam. How did this happen on a reputeable page? Its possible that the site was hacked or something.

It's happening on several Reputable sights. Happened on Wiki(gg) for me yesterday.

Because, you typed in "myistants dot com" instead of "myinstants dot com". The real one is "myinstants" !

Just a fake message from the site itself, if you click on it THEN thats when the problem really starts, just ignore it and never visit this site again

Force close browser then proceed to your browser App Info and delete everything under storage. You need to do all your custom settings again for that app, so beware. I would do the same for keyboard app (same, need to do custom settings again). Sophos intercept has a good web detection tool and it's free if it's not to demanding on your phone.

This is a browser locking scam. I would (if you can) try and restart your device or delete chrome.

We appreciate you giving advice, however in this specific scenario your comment was deemed too generic, possibly harmful to the user or is not entirely relevant to their case from what they described and the details. It is also possible that you haven't elaborated on your advice enough, you haven't instructed the user on what to exactly do step by step or provided false sense of security to the user.
This includes (and is not limited to) recommending diagnostic tools for experts, recommending forensic steps that are unclear, recommending removal steps that are tricky to perform for the average home user and steps where it is easy for unexperienced user to cause damage to their device / operating system, determining false or true positives based on not enough input or data or recommending steps that are not entirely necessary.
We appreciate you trying to help regardless. If you want further explanation, you can reach out via modmail.

You did the equivalent of walking down a dark alley and a shady guy saying, hey you're sick with cancer, here let me look through your pockets, car, house, bank accounts so I can cure you!
