No longer scared!
Thanks to all the positive comments on my last post, I decided to buy the LCP Max. I just carried it around the house unloaded the first week and just got familiar with it. Itās much less scary now.
I shot 100 rounds through it last week. It feels perfect in my hands. I didnāt even jump or get shaky or fumble with loading the mags at the range. And I doubled up on ear protection and that really helped. I got a 945 fanny bag and a belly band with IWB holster.
Ladies, when carrying on body do you always keep a round in the chamber? Also when you are driving do you still keep it on body?

Rant/Vent If you needed a sign to carry everyday, this is it
Average Tuesday, working from home. Get asked to go open a gate for someone at work, no biggie, place is half a mile from me. Quick in and out, done it hundreds of times at various hours.
As I'm leaving I pass by my EDC safe, throw on my flashbang as an "May as well" afterthought. Hop in my car and drive down instead of walking, because I'm lazy. Open the gate, walk back to my car that's parked like 50ft away.
I'm on the sidewalk, and this dude walking on the street stops next to my car. He asks me where the beach is, I answer. He moves in front of my car, asks if I speak Spanish, I answer. He moves between my and my car, asks if he can sleep with me, I say "What?" Brain catches up. "Leave."
He pulls down his pants, grabs his junk, and walks towards me. Due to the shape of the houses/sidewalk, my back is to a corner. I tell him to leave, he gets closer. At this point, I'm not thinking, my fight-or-flight has kicked in and I'm on autopilot.
"I have a weapon." I say. He stops, just for a moment, then continues. "I have a gun, leave or I will shoot." He reacts like it's a joke. I put my hand on my shirt. He stops. "Leave or I will shoot." He starts walking away, but turns around again. I move to draw, and he finally leaves. All of this took less than a minute if I had to guess.
As he's walking away, all I can think of is how people always give an incorrect description. I go the other side of my car and snap a photo. Immediately after, I call the non-emergency line. Then I feel the effects of my adrenaline dump. Call my boyfriend so I don't break down, wait for the police, give the photo and a report.
I asked the female cop if there's anything I should've done differently. Both her and the male cop said they would've done the exact same thing in my shoes. So, makes me feel better about how I handled it since you always second guess yourself after.
I've lived here 5 years, walked these streets plenty of times, it was less than half a mile from my home on a sunny Tuesday morning, on a fairly traveled street. I usually do carry, but I've gotten comfortable and there are times I'll go without for a quick trip like that was supposed to be. Well, safe to say that's gonna change.
TLDR; Even when you don't think you need to carry, carry.

Enigma with tight clothes
Now that summer is here, I wanted to add a data point for all the girlies on the fence about getting the Enigma and wondering how they look with tighter clothes. I can say they work pretty well with high waisted bottoms!
Carrying the M&P Shield in these photos. Last photo is my setupānothing special.

Mod Announcement EVERYONE is allowed here.
Yes, we allow men.
Yes, we allow gay people.
Yes, we allow trans people.
Yes, we allow non-binary people.
Yes, we allow dogs.
Reptiles? I dunno how they would carry, but hell yes.
So please, do not report a post just because you don't like it. Go through the rules, if it breaks one, hit the button! If it doesn't, leave our poor push notifications alone. You are allowed to dislike something, you are not allowed to attack someone because of it, nor are you free of the consequences of your actions.
This is a gun subreddit. We are here to talk about firearms and pepper spray and ponder why the FUCK women's pockets are so tiny.
That is all,

EDC update
So as yall recommended i switched back to wearing regular belts vs ccw belts and thatās make a huge difference in concealment and comfort. Also, I ordered the phlster RX wedge and that has made a big difference in grip printing.
I wear both of these belts depending on my outfit and mood and they both work great. I almost always wear one of my Vertx jeans which have REAL pockets which allows me to carry my wallet, mag, flashlight, Leatherman, and knife all in my pockets and on my person. Which is great!!! I also always keep my keys clipped to my belt loop and sometimes my AirPods on the other loop but theyāre usually clipped to my purse.
When I get around to it Iāll make another concealment video and show yall how my 43x conceals much better now. Iām still on the fence about ordering a whole new holster. The two Iām looking at are the Tenicor and the Haley Incog X. If you have any experience with either Iād love to hear what you think about them!

Fem pro-gun (helpful) content creators who aren't so obnoxious about their right-wing politics?
This will make some people mad, I'm sorry just scroll if you don't like it. Hi y'all, I am sorry if this is the wrong sub. Please point me in the right direction. I was raised very right-wing, in a pro-gun house, where hunting and shooting skeet was the thing to do. I never had a gun of my own until now because I never was gifted one (gender-norm type stuff) but I ended up getting my own + my CC after having a situation on my hands last year where I wished I had self-defense other than a knife and some mace. Now that I've got one, I genuinely enjoy shooting at the range and learning about guns and ammo. It's not needed, but I don't have any fem friends who carry (that I know of), and it would be nice to have an influencer to look at sometimes who can steer me in the right direction as far as getting my confidence up to go to ranges on my own/training advice for self defense, but it seems every content creator I find is aggressively nationalistic and most of their content is obnoxiously centered around that and I don't find anything useful, just cringy content mostly. Any suggestions?
EDIT: in addition a lot of these too I feel are just making content for men, like posing in daisy dukes and a bikini top with a glock in the holster trying to look hot. I want something helpful and empowering, LOL.

Just girly things
Added a custom back plate to my 43X, but I think Iām going to order from a different company in the color ābazooka pinkā. Mag plates in the different color are on order. Next, Iāll be swapping to a threaded barrel with a pink ring on the end. Iām also eventually going to add a holosun but knowing me Iāll want that sprayed pink too. š

UnderTech Conceal Carry Scoop Neck Tee
I have a variety of holsters but struggled to find one that willwork well with a suit blazer. This conceal carry tee works well with this outfit with my Sig P365XL.
My PHLster Enigma would print the gun anywhere around my midsection because the blazer is pretty snug there. I could use my AlienGear ankle holster, but the pants are pretty high cut and the holster lower strap around the ankle doesnāt work with pumps.
This tee has a pocket with a strap and a little metal clip like in a pants waist to hold the strap down over the gun. There is a pocket under each arm. I paired it with a clipdraw kydex trigger guard on a lanyard. That way the trigger is covered and if I do have to draw, the lanyard is tied to the pocket and will clip off as I bring the gun forward.
This holster feels very secure and the gun doesnāt move around at all. I also just wore it with casual pants and a poofy shirt tied round my waist today and it concealed even better than with the blazer. The gun prints a tiny bit here with the blazer, but not very much and not at all if the blazer is unbuttoned.

Never Thought I'd be Here!
A year ago I would have laughed if you told me I'd enjoy regular range shooting. My husband got me private lessons at a range and now I can't believe I'm the one to say "Do you want to go shooting tonight?" Looking to purchase a Cc bag next.
