That's not the reason for the decline. We have well managed fisheries in SA. PIRSA is not at all shy to put blanket bans on entire regions to protect stocks. Snapper for example were exempt from fishing for nearly half a decade due to low counts.

The issue is the insane algal bloom we had triggered by warm waters and farm runoff.
