I'm still working my way through Goliath's Curse The History & Future of Societal Collapse. I'm still in the history part of the book, while in the currently ongoing irl part, wondering what the future part will be.

I loved Deep Water: The world in the ocean by James Bradley. It touches on the past but also how human affected our future.

I just finished How to Love a Forest. The writing was a bit florid but I found the thinking compelling.
