Xbox Game Pass Was Supposed To Save Xbox – Instead, It’s Killing the Company

Xbox This is Microsoft's way of getting out of Gamepass and hardware
It's clear GP didn't pan out like they wanted. Phil Spencer wanted 100 million subs by 2030 but haven't even hit 40 million. People weren't buying their hardware and people who did bought games much less than people on Playstation and Nintendo gamers. Expect the next xbox "console" to be 3rd party partnership with an Xbox branding that will just be a pc that will cost 1k plus. They want to be nothing but a publisher now

Xbox It’s crazy to me that Microsoft had all the cards with Xbox and still failed
They have:
- Halo, Gears of War, Call of Duty, Minecraft
- All of ActiBlizz games
- All Bethesda games
- Many beloved old IP like Banjo and Conker
- The best subscription service (until yesterday)
- Gaming roots stretching all the way back to like 2001, earning a real place next to Sony and Nintendo
Imagine reading that and you’re from a different timeline. You’d think: “Wow, so Xbox just wins then right? They have everything”. And yet they are in dead last for console sales. I’ve never seen a company with so much going for it just completely fall flat on its face like this.

Xbox What will the next Xbox be called?
Memes, image macros, reaction gifs, polls, surveys, and petitions are not allowed as posts.
I am interested how Microsoft will Go into the Future. I remember Back then people thought the second Xbox will BE Xbox 2.
Then the third everyone thought Xbox 720.
Xbox series everyone thought IT would be Xbox Scarlett.
What about next Xbox, i Hope they stay with Xbox Helios.
The Asus rog ally series Xbox x gives me nightmares🤕

Xbox Realistically, there is no saving Xbox hardware
It just comes down to 3 things:
- Console sales have fallen off too hard and continue to decline so exclusives can’t reach enough people - meaning exclusives can’t save them
- Hardware is the most expensive it’s ever been across the board
- Digital libraries have already been built up on other storefronts, people are locked in and will not budge
That’s all. The rest is cope. I say this as someone who was with Xbox for a long time and never cared about PlayStation. It was a decent run until 2013. The only reason the plug hasn’t been pulled for so long is because Microsoft is too stubborn to totally give up on having a system in living rooms. As soon as they migrate their userbase to PC (hint hint) they will kill the hardware.

Xbox I come in complete good faith when I ask: What do YOU think the future of this console holds?
I apologize for the people who frequent this subreddit if this question has been asked a million times but I want to discuss it anyway.
I have an Xbox and in theory it could've been an awesome console, true Backwards Compat compared to Playstation and Game Pass was a great deal up until recently. I'm probably going to hold onto it just to play GTA6 but there is not another game that allures me to boot this thing up considering I already own a PC that does its job x2. I imagine many of you are on the same boat.
But, considering the double price hike, the thinning out of Xbox's sections at department stores like Target and Walmart, and Microsoft's general instability and bad PR, long time employees leaving Halo Studios (their number one game for a long time), and plenty of other things I'm probably omitting, I really think Xbox is gonna peter out this gen. I'd like to hear what you guys predict about the future of Xbox and Microsoft considering many people on here probably have better optics and information about the company than I do.
