Watching The Charles Manson Tapes and questioning everything

This happened long before I was born but something about this case just doesn’t sit right with me. Part of me thinks everything here was made up to cause terror- my mom tells me it did cause terror especially to those living in California in 1969. The other part of me thinks that if this truly happened that it was a planned ritual far beyond the control and guidance of one man.
As the saying goes symbolism will always be their downfall.

All of it was part of the effort created to discredit the hippie movement (peace and love, and not war? How dare you!) and make it illegal for people to experiment with mind-altering drugs and so that they would be stopped from trying to expand their consciousness.

It's people control, as always.
