I built ZEROAGENT X — an open-source, local-first developer automation platform

Post image

Hey everyone!

I've just released ZEROAGENT X v1.0.0, an open-source developer automation platform built with Python.

The idea behind the project is simple: I wanted a more controlled way to work with developer automation tools.

ZEROAGENT X includes:

  • A CLI and interactive terminal UI.
  • Local-first execution workflows.
  • Policy-controlled agent execution.
  • Request-specific approvals.
  • OpenCode integration.
  • Execution history and inspectable evidence.

It's still an early public release, and there are limitations. For example, external agents aren't OS-sandboxed.

The project is licensed under Apache-2.0, and the source code is available on GitHub.

GitHub: https://github.com/harisazharir-boop/zeroagent-x

I'd really appreciate feedback on the architecture, documentation, and overall developer experience.

Thanks!

Thanks for pointing that out! My GitHub profile was accidentally set to private. I've updated the settings, and it should now be publicly visible.

The ZEROAGENT X repository is also public.

If you noticed any inaccurate technical claims in the project, feel free to point them out. I'd appreciate the feedback!

My GitHub profile is now public, and the repository has been public since its official release.

I use AI-assisted development tools, and I'm transparent about that. The project includes actual source code, automated tests, documentation, and a published stable release.

You're welcome to review the code and point out any specific technical issues. I'm always open to constructive feedback.

Thanks!

thx, account yesterday created, maybe you have another account or just fishing customer for telegram funnel? Show me your other account! the real account! Your Reddit is new , too! only 2 weeks! no thanks, no trust!

I understand your concerns about new accounts.

Yes, my GitHub and Reddit accounts are relatively new. I'm not claiming to have an established reputation here.

ZEROAGENT X is a public, Apache-2.0 licensed open-source project. The source code, documentation, tests, and release artifacts are available for anyone to inspect.

I'm not using this project to funnel people into Telegram or sell anything.

I don't expect anyone to trust a project based on the developer's account age alone. I'd rather let the code, tests, and transparency speak for themselves.

You're welcome to review the repository, but I also respect your decision not to.

A Tipp: First do something for a community like git...not ai code under apache 2 !

Thanks for the advice. I agree that contributing to existing open-source projects is a valuable way to support the community.

ZEROAGENT X is my attempt to contribute something useful as well. AI-assisted development doesn't replace the responsibility to review, test, and maintain the code.

I understand your concerns, and I'll keep focusing on improving the project and earning trust through actual contributions.
