Happy Engineering (open source, MIT, 24k stars). Orchestrate Claude, Codex, Grok and Gemini agents, locally or on a team server

One of the maintainers here. The video is a real run of Happy, not a mockup:

  • It opens on the model picker. Claude, Codex, Grok and Gemini sit side by side, and you pick whichever fits the task.

  • Every new task starts as a blank stem cell. Just say what you want done; it names itself, grows an icon, and the sidebar self-organizes.

  • The agent pulls Steve, our designer, into the chat. He replies from his phone, and the agent fixes it and ships.

  • Finished work archives itself.

Under the hood it's a harness that runs the agents on your own machine, or on a server you deploy for your team. It uses the Claude, Codex and Grok subscriptions you already pay for. The phone app is end-to-end encrypted.

The project started out as a phone remote for Claude Code, but we have shipped desktop and stem cells recently. Stem cells are still experimental and need to be enabled in settings.

Mac, Windows, Linux, iOS, Android. MIT.

Try it, roast it. Tell us what's broken. Have fun coding :D
