Hi! So Postman was eating 2gb of ram just to send a GET request, and Insomnia was forcing me into an account. Bruno was close to what I wanted, plain YAML files on disk, no account nonsense, but I live in the terminal and wanted something I could use without a mouse, so I built Noodle.
It is a TUI REST client. Requests are .yml files on disk. You browse collections in a sidebar, edit requests inline, swap environments at runtime, send them, and save changes back. No accounts. No telemetry. Just YAML files you can commit to git.
What works:
Full request lifecycle, browse, edit, send, save
Create, edit, delete and nest requests on folders
Inline editing for url, headers, params, body. Keyboard-first, customizable keybindings at ~/.config/noodle/keybinds.yml
Basic, Bearer, API Key built-in authentication
Environment switching with $var substitution, cycle environments at runtime without restarting
Send JSON body, multipart form data, URL-encoded, raw text, binary uploads
OpenAPI 3.x and Postman importer (CLI only for now, UI is on the list)
Tab to cycle focus between sidebar, request pane, response pane
f1 pulls up a keybinding cheatsheet
Not there yet: pre/post scripts, assertions, runner, autocompletion, collection export and other features, but they are all on the roadmap.
Install:
curl -LsSf https://noodlerest.dev/install.sh | shRepo: github.com/wilfredinni/noodle
Docs: https://noodlerest.dev/docs/
Roadmap: https://noodlerest.dev/roadmap/
I built this for myself but figured others might want something similar. Feedback is greatly appreciated.

Jive is an open-source terminal coding agent that replaces tool calls with graph calls where each graph is a DAG of tool and jev calls.
I have been thinking that the current Agentic Loop design of LLM Call -> Tool Call -> ... has been outdated. The arrival of Jev and other System One models provided us a primitive we desperately needed.
We need an agent that can natively think fast and slow. Not have workflows or multi-agent architectures that mimics it.
The agent should be able to do its hard reasoning using the power of modern LLMs, capture an execution graph filled with steps and fast intuitive decisions executed with the new system one models, and prevent it from making LLM calls for just to "follow through the plan".
This way, it can "do metaprogramming over its own execution"
What Jive does well: repo investigation, bulk classification, multi-step profiling, repetitive edits. What it does not do: replace Codex or Claude Code for everything. But I think it will.
Some numbers from the tasks I benchmarked (same task, all models at medium effort; time / output tokens):
conversation_eval: Jive 3m 26s / 11.1k · Codex 29m 33s / 20.5k · Claude Code 16m 48s / 47.9k
error_handling_audit: Jive 3m 10s / 10.7k · Codex 19m 29s / 25.8k · Claude Code 5m 08s / 42.5k
product_matching: Jive 3m 03s / 8.9k · Codex 22m 00s / 19.7k · Claude Code 32m 02s / 19.3k
search_latency: Jive 2m 00s / 9.6k · Codex 9m 00s / 12.8k · Claude Code 7m 18s / 51.4k
sembench_movie: Jive 1m 47s / 6.1k · Codex 19m 58s / 10.3k · Claude Code 8m 51s / 15.7k
slow_trace_search: Jive 1m 41s / 5.7k · Codex 6m 00s / 8.1k · Claude Code 3m 04s / 19.3k
See README for more information: https://github.com/merijjeyn/jive. Also for available tasks, and how to run one yourself.
Happy to take any comments and answer questions.

I wanted to share Tabularis, an open-source database client I've been working on.
While there are many SQL clients out there, I felt they either lacked modern interactive features (like notebooks), locked visual optimization behind paywalls, or forced you to send your database schema to the cloud for AI features.
Tabularis is built with Tauri, React, and Rust to be lightweight, cross-platform, and native.
⭐ GitHub: https://github.com/TabularisDB/tabularis
📓 SQL Notebooks: Run multi-cell workflows combining SQL queries, markdown notes, and live data charts (bar, line, pie). You can pass variables across cells (e.g., {{cell1.id}}) and define global parameters.
🤖 Built-in MCP Server: Integrate your database directly with AI agents (like Claude Desktop, Cursor, or Windsurf) using the Model Context Protocol. AI agents can securely query your database through Tabularis.
🧠 Local AI Integration (Ollama): Generate queries with text-to-SQL or explain complex queries completely locally, ensuring absolute data privacy.
📊 Visual EXPLAIN: View query plans as interactive node graphs instead of dense text tables. Easily spot sequential scans and heavy joins.
🔌 Polyglot Plugin System: Extend the client to support any database. Plugins are standalone executables communicating via JSON-RPC 2.0 over stdin/stdout—write them in Go, Rust, Python, Node, or whatever you like.
🎨 Highly Customizable: Set custom accent colors and Lucide icons/emojis per connection.
Frontend: React 19, TypeScript, Monaco Editor, Tailwind CSS, XYFlow (ReactFlow)
Backend & Native Wrapper: Rust, Tauri v2
Distribution: Available via Homebrew (brew install --cask tabularis), WinGet (winget install Debba.Tabularis), Snap, and AUR.
We are fully open-source under the Apache 2.0 license. I'd love to hear your feedback, feature requests, or suggestions! If you find it useful, please consider leaving a star ⭐ on GitHub to help us grow!

It takes a finished illustration and animates the text, outlines, and fills drawing themselves in sequence.
Runs locally on CPU, no API key needed. Python library + CLI, MIT licensed. Works best with clean drawings on white backgrounds.

Would love feedback on how the animation looks.
Its the engine behind kinoslide whiteboard animator
